Jesus gave attention to the one hundred sheep by dividing them into two groups . It is not complicated the way Jesus viewed this flock . Undoubtedly , the flock was like others with thousands of different characteristics , quirks , idiosyncrasies , needs , preferences , demands , and urgencies . Beyond the sheep's individualities , Jesus saw them either safe or lost . What a critical clarification to catch through the eyes and heart of Christ ! Safe or lost ! My conviction is that God sees all the people of this world the same . When God looks upon this earth , He does not primarily see city , state , county boundaries . He does not see only red , yellow ,black , brown , or white . He sees only souls , and He sees only two kinds of souls-saved and lost souls . His desire is for the lost souls to be saved . His desire is for all saved souls to be attempting to get the lost souls saved through the work of the Holy Spirit . That is why I constantly remind myself that no matter where soul is , that soul is precious and valuable in the sight of God .

The last  cord of evangelism today is Now . If we do not do something now , this generation's evangelism will be like the man on the road from Jerusalem to Jericho ( Luke 10:30 ) . It will fall among robbers and be stripped of its New Testament urgency . Gone will be the heartbreak , tear shedding , the do-or-die soul-winning that God told us to do when He said , ''They that sow in tears shall reap in joy . He that goeth forth and weepeth , bearing precious seed , shall doubtless come again with rejoicing , his sheaves with him '' ( Ps. 126:5-6 ) .

Recent events have made it all too clear that life here on earth is just a moment, and there are no guarantee's any one of us will see tomorrow, but if we are granted that blessing it counts so much what we do with today, and each day granted.  We must show resilience in our efforts to pursue what we feel is our life's purpose, ever praying for guidance to be true to what we feel is our calling.  I was taught by my parents  (Bless their souls; May they R.I.P.)  that it was not always in my best interest to give me what I thought I wanted, but to teach me that I might attain things myself and share them with others.  A lesson well learned, while also learning to give is to receive.  My goal is to teach others those same principles, while hoping to help provide viable skills to enable and motivate them to become contributing independents' and  spiritually grounded individuals.  The work is not hard when it's a labor of love in "Gods' service."

We realize these are hard economic times, but there are those who give to seed their harvest and those able and willing to give back because they know any success or substance they have acquired....

We are a Music Ministry as well, but without a operating or promotional budget, It's not easy to raise funds selling music.  At present, we are operating out of pocket. and  it's a job just to maintain our websites.  We have given away most of our product and will continue to do so because we feel the music we produce is more like a public service, but to get real...it comes at a price....longing for the day when money will no longer be an issue.

True church growth is not the result of methods . It is the result of the supernatural activity of God , who desires to redeem persons to Himself . When a church discovers and applies the kingdom principles of church growth , increases in the church naturally follow .

My mentor of blessed memory, Arch Bishop Benson Idahosa said: "If light can't replace darkness, you don't need light." If life can't replace death, you don't need life." I add; what's the essence of claiming to have light and still be overcome by darkness? What is the meaning of professing life, while living under the captivity of death? 

It's really an irony, when we talk of the death and resurrection of Christ and even preach it on our pulpits with so much emotion and end up committing suicide; living a life of addiction and lacking the power over sin, disease and demonic forces. 

It seems most preaching and teaching today is, but mere theater; the way we live shows we don't believe most of what we say. Most news headlines about the happenings in the church, especially among the clergies say it all. 

How can we experience the victory the dead and resurrection of Christ brings, when we are busy looking for excuses for every known moral failure? If it were possible, we would rewrite the Bible to accommodate our addictions. Phrases like these would be added to our new Bible versions.

i) It's normal to profess Christ and still die by taking one's own life

ii) You can profess Christ and still live a life of sin

iii) Its normal to be an addict for life even as a professing Child of God, etc.

In fact, our new Bible version would be more about excitement in Church, busyness in religious activities, rhetoric s of faith without the life of faith.

Thank God, the works were finished since from the foundation of the world, so we can't add to the finished work of Christ or take from it. If we fail to live up to expectation, we shouldn't blame it on God, but on our lust.

Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. (James 1:13-15)

If the dead and resurrection of Christ can't give us victory in this life, then most of our talk about the gospel is vain. DrBenard Etta 

And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals. (Revelation 5:1)

The book John was referring to is the oldest book in existence. It isn't an ordinary book, but one containing just every possible truth needed for breakthrough in all areas and profound secrets of the progressive plan of God for all ages. The unfortunate situation was that, this book was sealed with seven seals. 

Imagine a book containing the "secret code" for the redemption of mankind, but sealed. This was the situation, which prompted a weeping response. There was just no one found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon. (Revelation 5:1)

SIDE JOURNEY!
What do we weep for today? Do we weep in search for truth or in search for trivialities? What a generation weeps for reveals their sense of value and how far they can get to. I wonder if a sealed book could prompt a weeping spring in our world. But this wasn't the case in our scriptural text; the situation prompted John to weep. It seems we have drifted from the path of wisdom, underlining the real cause why a privilege generation like ours is yet to experience real rest. 

LET'S GET BACK TO OUR FOCUS
The good news is that, after the weeping of John, he received a message of consolation. Revelation comes when we weep for insight into the mind of God. The last Christian revolution is here! The carriers of this revolution must be men and women with a weeping heart. A heart that bleeds, blesses. Below is the revelation given to John in respond to his quest. 

"And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof." 

This is the summary of the meaning of Easter. A sealed book, containing just every possible truth needed for breakthrough in all areas and profound secrets of the progressive plan of God for all ages, was finally opened through the dead and resurrection of Christ. If we celebrate Easter without this understanding, we are simply reading from a closed book. 

The Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, Christ the risen Lord has opened the book. That's the reason for the season. That's why he came. He came to open the book, but not to read it for us. It is our responsibility to look into the book and to read its content. 

I think, no one is supposed to stand on any pulpit anywhere to speak to God's people, who isn't reading from this book. No one is supposed to write any book in God’s name that didn't receive inspiration by reading from this book. Talk less of starting a ministry or church without reading from the pages of this book for inspiration, revelation and direction. The book was opened, but it's our responsibility to read its content and to deliver it to the world just as it is in the book. This is what New Testament ministry is about. Dr. Benard Etta

Jesus Christ is the church's Overseer. '' For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls '' ( 1 Pet, 2;25) , Jesus the Overseer watches over and directs His churches, He sees all of His churches and observes all that is going on in the lives of His people. He places the responsibilities of being overseers on church leaders, who are to fllow His example .

Jesus Christ is Lord of lords ( Rev. 19:16 ) . Christ is Lord and owner of all things . He is the church's absolute sovereign . The church belongs to Him . Ultimate authority for all church functions and leadership resides in Him . Christ's lordship places all church leaders in the role of stewards . Until church leaders recognize Him as their sovereign Lord , they will never experience His lordship in their leadership of the church . God bless you all. 

What great company you will be in when you are numbered among the servants ! '' It shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many '' ( Matt. 20:26-28 ) . Jesus said in that text that becoming a servant is where real greatness lies with Him and in the Kingdom to come . In Philippians 2:5-11 . God said that His Son became a servant in His earthly ministers Paul did what Jesus did and what Jesus tells us to do (1 Cor. 9:19 ) In 1 Corinthians 7 :20-24, the Bible says that if we want to be used of God , we are to continue in serving the Lord as a Servant . There are many situations in which care is needed in this world . The children of China and the hungry of Africa truly need care . Our water and air need care and concern . Some will cry out , ''We need to care for the spotted owl and the sea turtle , too ! ''  Who do you know who truly cares for the souls of men and women ? God the Father cares for souls .  He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believed in Him would not perish , but would have life everlasting . God did that because He cares for unsaved souls . The Lord Jesus cares for souls . He died upon a cruel , humiliating cross for unsaved souls . I just want to say God Thank you for all you have done for us . God Bless you all .

All religions and persuasions are like a wheel going to the same place but just from different directions. God is the Hub , and all religions will eventually get you to Him . The anointing, God's grace and favor aren't just a privilege, but a huge responsibility. This responsibility isn't just limited to touching lives, but being able to combine the anointing and God's grace on our lives with the character that goes with it. Charisma-minus-Character is equal to Disaster.

The greatest crisis plaguing Christendom isn't the absence of the anointing, but the presence of anointing without character. This makes some in the ministry today to look more like rascals; reckless and unruly in the eyes of God and man.

For us to walk in the fullness of the grace of God like Christ, we need to overcome the temptation of using the anointing on our lives to show off. Christ did it; we can do it!

It's very easy for one to use the gifts of God to promote oneself and not God's kingdom. Our Church building programs, congregations, television outreaches, philanthropic activities, healing and miracle meetings, etc, might actually be serving us than Christ. God is so generous, he can allow us use his grace to build for ourselves empires until the day of reckoning.

In our foundation text, the devil was simply tempting Jesus to use the anointing at his disposal to show off. Jumping from the pinnacle of the temple to the ground could have attracted onlookers since the masses are drawn to such manifestations. But Christ resisted the temptation. 

The power of God is not for entertainment or for showing off, but for Godly influence and impact, which counts in time and eternity. When God's ministers look more like magicians in their manner of demonstrating God's power, it's a call for alarm. Jesus didn't go about trying to satisfy the curiosity of people by performing miracles and signs. Each time he performed a supernatural act, the motivation was to meet a need, show compassion and above all, to glorify the father. In some cases, he asked those he healed to tell no one, but to glorify God.

There is nothing wrong with publishing testimonies of God's miracles in a meeting if our motives are right, but we need to watch against the carnal competition among ministers of God today for who is the greatest in anointing, and the most accurate in words of knowledge, etc. This carnal competition has reached a point where some drunk with the wine of self promotion have gone to the extent of using mystical powers and charms to perform miraculous signs so as to boost their recognition among the “greatest” in Christendom.

It's very common today to find someone faking prophecies and words of knowledge and forcing people to accept them. Others use information provided during private consultation and counseling to form the base for their so-called prophecy extravaganza. Millions of ignorant Christians are right now under tremendous delusion and some are giving just everything they have to these self style con men masquerading as prophets.

It's time for the truly anointed of God to stand up strong for the truth and for righteousness. It's time to speak out! It's time to put away the altitude of using the anointing to show off. Let Christ be our example! DrBenard Etta
