A transmission line in Guangdong, China, and a power supply bureau maintenance engineer come to our factory, said they encountered a headache problem. Transmission lines get through farmland, the line is installed glass insulators. Since Flashover led insulator rupture, fragmentation of insulators scattered into the fields, local farmers stepped on broken glass, complaints Power Supply Bureau, not only caused discontent among the masses, but still give cause transmission security risks. For this special case, power supply bureau engineers hope to find a way to wrap the broken glass insulators, and then be replaced by a professional maintenance engineers.

Fujian Ruisen chemical Co.,Ltd. specially developed;anti-blast splashing RTV coating, added a special aramid fiber pulp (body armor components), not only has the performance of the original RTV silicone rubber coating, but also increase the concentration, effectively enhance the mechanical properties, anti-blasting. This splash-proof coating by the military tests.

Thermal conductive silica gel, also known as thermally conductive RTV, can be cured at room temperature and has certain bonding properties. Thermally conductive RTV is a kind of silicone rubber, which belongs to one-component liquid rubber vulcanized at room temperature. Once exposed to air, the silane monomers condense and form a network structure. The system is cross-linked, unable to melt and dissolve, elastic, rubber-like while adhering to objects.

And once cured, it is difficult to separate the bonded objects.

Thermal conductive silicone grease is a kind of thermally conductive medium. It is an ester-like polymer composite synthesized by a special process, based on silicone (polysiloxane polymer) and adding various auxiliary materials. It is a kind of white or gray thermal insulating viscous object, which has a certain degree of viscidity and no obvious granularity. Non-toxic, tasteless, non-corrosive, chemical and physical stability and excellent thermal conductivity, electrical insulation, high-temperature resistance, aging resistance, and waterproof properties. Usually, the thermally conductive silicone grease is insoluble in water, not easy to be oxidized, and has a certain lubricity and electrical insulation.

The similarity between them is that they both have thermal conductivity and insulation, and they are all thermal conductive interface materials.

The difference between the two is:
Thermally conductive silica gel (RTV): Viscous (once bonded, difficult to remove, so most of the time used in only one-time bonding occasions), translucent, high-temperature dissolution (viscous liquid), low-temperature solidification (exposure), can not melt and dissolve, elastic.

Thermal conductive silicone grease (heat conductive paste): adsorptive, non-sticky, paste-like semi-liquid, non-volatile, non-curable (low temperature does not thicken, high temperature does not think).

How to remove RTV silicone

How to remove rtv

For clothing stained with this RTV silicone, the silicone should be moistened with turpentine to soften it, and then removed with gasoline. For already dry spots, apply cream or artificial butter first, then wipe with gasoline or turpentine, then wipe with 10% ammonia until all the silicone are cleaned. You can also use turpentine to wet the silicone or apply a mixture of white porcelain clay and turpentine to the silicone. After 4 to 5 hours, the RTV silicone can be wiped off and washed with hot soapy water. In addition, the solvent chloroform, turpentine and a mixture of chloroform and carbon tetrachloride (1;1), and a mixture of diethyl ether and ethyl acetate (1;1) are  very effective in removing oil base and dry oil spot.

Such stains on the dyed fabric are first wetted with a pure hot glycerin solution, and then pressed with a cotton ball which touches glycerin tightly on the stain (no rubbing is allowed, rubbing causes changes in the color around the stain).

For such stains on white clothing and non-fading clothing, use concentrated alcohol or concentrated alcohol and a mixture of 5% ammonia in water. When a colored wash stain remains on it, it should be treated with a 3% sodium dithionite solution. When the garment is white cotton and linen, it needs to be removed with an aqueous solution of bleaching powder or an aqueous solution of a mixture of bleaching powder and washing soda ash.

For such stains  on white clothing and non-fading clothing, use concentrated alcohol or concentrated alcohol and a mixture of 5% ammonia in water.  you should use 3% concentration of sodium dithionite solution to deal with when the dress is white cotton and linen, using aqueous solution of bleach or aqueous solution of bleach and washing soda ash mixture of removal.

Enhanced Anti-pollution Flashover Coating RTV-II

A functional insulator coating to protect insulators in pollution area, such as industrial area, coastal area and other extreme environmental conditions, also can be used in normal environmental conditions.

RTV-II/ PRTV is a one part and new type Room Temperature Vulcanizing RTV silicone rubber coating, also be referred to as High Voltage Insulator Coatings (HVICs) is based on extensive research and development work that lead to upgrade the RTV coating.

Our RTV-II silicone rubber coatings work on the principle of providing a hydrophobic surface limiting the leakage current to harmless levels in the presence of moisture and contamination, reduction of pollution related flashover risk and a long service life. To prevent pollution flashover, to avoid power outage and protect electrical power equipment.

The advantages of Enhanced Anti-pollution Flashover Coating RTV-II:

  1. Ready-to-use without adding solvent to make thinning or excessive mixing/shanking before use. Easy to use in different conditions.
  2. Excellent self-cleaning and long-term resistance to weathering and a wide variety of pollution environments.
  3. Long-term hydrophobicity, Suppression of leakage current, discharges and pollution flashover.
  4. Reduced maintenance expenditures and revenue losses, easy to maintain as in washing, compared to conventional insulator surfaces.
  5. Facilitated cleaning in case of extreme pollution deposition (e.g. cement); even most difficult pollutants can be wiped off by cloth.
  6. Strong adhesion to the insulator surface, withstand high pressure.
  7. The service life is longer than normal RTV coating, at least 15 years in most service conditions. Stable operation, long-lasting performance.
  8. Nontoxic and environmental friendly material.

Application Scope of RTV Silicone Coating for Insulator:

  1. RTV-II is ideal Suited for use on both new & old insulators of transmission line and substation, different kind of bushings in substation. Can be used, unprimed, on a variety of insulator substrates including glass, porcelain, HTV silicone and composite insulators.
  2. Further suitable as a refresh coating over old RTV coatings provided the old RTV coatings is properly cleaned and still displays strong adhesion to the insulator surface.
  3. Can be used in a wide variety of pollution environments including, but not limited to, salt spray, salt fog, industrial (cement dust, fly ash, carbon black, acid emissions, etc.) and desert sand.
  4. Designed for use in AC and DC systems, in substations of all voltage levels and on transmission lines under all voltage conditions ranging from low distribution voltages to very high transmission voltages, Rail way, Switchgear etc.
  5. Our RTV-II Silicone Rubber Coating can effectively protect ceramic insulator, glass insulator, long rod insulator, CT, PT, bushing, circuit breaker, Hollow porcelain insulator, porcelain surge arrest, switchgear cabinet, Transformer insulator and other outdoor electrical equipment.8466525285?profile=original
