A. Well, actually, I love a lot of different things that exist in life.  For example, I went to college on a four-year athletic scholarship, football and track. I played semi pro football for 4 yrs, I learned a couple of different trades, including, electrical, and instrumentation, I’ve also recently acquired my C.D.L license. I love to explore different challenges in life.

6. What has been the biggest surprise so far about making music your career? What has been an unexpected or welcome challenge to it all?

A. The biggest surprise to me is that the same obstacles that exist in secular music, blues, etc. exists in Gospel Music field as well.  Crabs, Crabs, Crabs. Getting your music heard, played, introduced or what ever on broadcast radio stations.

7. What was it like putting together your EP? 

A. It takes time to put together a good project.

8. Who are some of your favorite artists or rather, what musicians have continued to inspire you and your music? Who would you absolutely still love to work with in the future? 

A. Of course that would be Prince (R.I.P.)  I learned a lot from him, in the short time I spent at the warehouse.  His work ethic was impeccable. The late great master of the vocoder, Mr. Roger Troutman, gave me the confidence I needed to take charge of the stage.  I have no preference, I would love to work with anyone that loves music.

9. What has it been like keeping up with your social media accounts and all of the different platforms?

A. Is it hard to stay up to date on it all? What would you say is your favorite way to connect with your fans now?  Well, we all know that FB is one of the most familiar ways of keeping up with your fans.  I’m not up on some of the other accounts yet, but I hope to expand those connections real soon.

10. If your music was going to be featured on any TV show that is currently on now, which would you love it to be on? Or if you prefer, what is a movie that you love that you wish your music was featured in? 

A. Well, I think that any platform that showcases an artist music would be much welcomed.  I would like to finish a movie that I've written, and feature my music in it, if you really want to know the truth.  I produce a demo, you can check it out on you tube “Mary Ann” The Incident.

11. At the end of the day, what do you hope people take away from your music? 

A. That it is different, and ads a refreshing taste to the Southern Soul Blues Genre.

CMC Usages in Food Industry

  1. CMC Applications in Fermented Yoghurt

 

1.1. Main Raw Materials of Fermented Yoghurt

 

CMC powder uses, such as Fresh milk or milk, sucrose ester, compound stabilizer (including CMC), granulated sugar, sodium citrate, phosphate, preservative, essence and drinking water, etc. And how to use CMC powder we will mention in following.

1.3.3. Slowly flavoring acid, then becoming quickly to control the final pH value at 3.8-4.0. The temperature should be below 15℃when flavoring acid and odor. The conditional factories usually agitate below 5℃.

2.1. Main Raw Materials of Formulated Yoghurt

3.1. Applications in Flour

Adding CMC into the flour can make the flour with characters of dispersion, water retention, and strong cohesion. It can shorten the kneading time, and easy to operate to, Increasing toughness and strength of noodles to improve the premium grade product rate. Different from natural gum, the noddles are smooth with uniform, stable interior structure, and bright, clean surface after adding CMC gum. For oil-fried instant noddles, oil content can be effectively reduced after adding CMC. Because CMC has characters of hydrophilic and hydrophobic oil, to control the oil content at 18% or so.

 

You can add CMC FH9, FVH9 or FVH6 into flour, with a dosage 0.25%-0.4%. When using CMC, you can premix it with other additives,  dissolving with water till completely dissolving, then spraying on the kneaded flour. Or you can mix up CMC, other additives and flour together, and then add water and knead to flour billet.

 

3.2. Applications in Seasoning Bags

CMC can be added in sauce or seasoning bags of various instant noddles. CMC is featured by thickening, strong dispersion, water, and freshness preservation, with which sauces can have better homogeneity and longer shelf life. Materials in sauce or seasoning bags can dissolve and disperse quickly with CMC gum's own characteristics, so the taste of noodle soup is delicious.

 

Can select and add CMC FH6 or FH9 (salt tolerance) into sauce and seasoning, with dosage 0.8%-1.2%. Premix CMC, sugar, monosodium glutamate and salt, and then mix them with other ingredients.

4.1. CMC Usages in Ice Cream

4.1.1 CMC can increase melting-resistance of ice cream

CMC aqueous solutions have excellent fluidity, comparing with other pulp, especially starch gum and guar gum. The stable lattice-like structure can be formed under both high and low temperatures. This is the reason that ice cream has good melting-resistance with CMC.

 

4.1.2 CMC is ideal excipient of ice cream

CMC aqueous solution has high viscosity, compared with that of xanthan gum, gelatin, and sodium alginate. The viscosity of 2% aqueous solution is more than 30,000mPa.s tested by Brookfield viscometer. There is higher viscosity if mixing CMC with sodium alginate. CMC produced by Fortune Biotech has good pseudo-plasticity, so in the case of homogeneous aging, the consistency and viscosity of ice cream liquid can be raised with CMC. Particle size measurement using static light scattering

The particle size distribution as a parameter to specify a powder or dispersion plays a central role in many applications. Examples are construction material (sands, cements), pharmaceutical development, lime stones, ceramics, colored pigments, fertilizers, emulsions and may more. The range of applications is increasing permanently and hence the requirements on the measurement methods regarding size range, measuring time and reproducibility. Particularly the precise and reproducible detection of particles with sizes close to the measuring range limits as well as the simultaneous determination of particle sizes of very small particles (nanometer range) as well as large particles (lower millimeter range) for the characterization of polymodally or very broadly distributed samples provides a challenge. The scattering intensity is determined by stationary detectors depending on the angle (light scattering intensity distribution). State-of-the-art laser diffraction systems such as the Bettersizer S3 Plus guarantee the determination of scattering intensities in a continuous angular range of 0.02 – 165°, i. e. in forward, side and backward direction. This is achieved by means of a so-called double lens design and oblique incidence optical system (DLOIOS technology): Fourier lenses (collective lens) are positioned between the laser and particles as well as between particles and detectors. The particles will interact with the light within a parallel laser beam. This offers the advantage that the scattered light can also be detected at very large angles (in backward scattering direction) and thus even very small particles can be measured precisely. Thanks to DLOIOS technology, the problems of conventional measurement setups can also be avoided. Therefore, neither the suitable lenses for the corresponding particle size measurement range have to be selected prior to the measurement (in comparison to the Fourier optics), nor do measurement inaccuracies result from different particle to detector distances, if not all particles lie in one plane (in comparison to the inverse Fourier optics).

To calculate the particle size distribution from the measured scattering spectra, the theory of either FRAUNHOFER or MIE is applied. The FRAUNHOFER theory is based on the hypothesis of opaque and spherical particles: the scattered pattern corresponds to a thin opaque two-dimensional plate – diffraction only occurs at the edges. Therefore no additional optical input constants of the material are necessary for this calculation. However, this theory is only suitable for mean particle sizes from approx. 5 µm.

In contrast the MIE theory uses the hypothesis of virtually translucent and spherical particles, meaning that the light permeates the matter and is scattered elastically at the atoms of the particle. The knowledge of the complex refractive index of the particles and the liquid as well is necessary. This theory is applicable for particles of all sizes.

The following figure shows an example of a volume-related particle size distribution of a calcium carbonate powder – measured with a Bettersizer S3 Plus.

Principle

Inlet pressure water enters the lower cavity of the pilot valve diaphragm from the guide valve when the pressure in the pipeline exceeds the set pressure of the guide valve to make its pressure increase to open the guide valve, the main valve control room outwards drain under the effect of the inlet pressure water to open the main valve, it starts to discharge pressure. When the pressure in the pipeline drops to the set pressure, the pressure in the lower cavity of the guide valve diaphragm decreases, causing the guide valve closed. This results in increased water pressure from the guide pipe to the pilot valve, then to the main valve control room. The main valve plate closes and begins to hold pressure. 

Installation and Commissioning
