The journey of a vision...

My vision came to me while attending a women's conference. I wasn't thinking about this vision and was completely caught off guard when that quiet voice whispered in my ear, "PRAISE". In addition to that the scripture foundation was already provided while at this conference! So I had a foundation scripture and the purpose, WOW. However, what did I do? Doubt.

How many times does God set you up for a blessing and you doubt the outcome?

As the song says "...the story doesn't end there...". God kept working with me, setting me up and placing people in my path that would ultimately place me on the road to fulfill the vision. Without going into the life story of the vision, this vision has been going strong for 9 years now and on Saturday, November 20th & Sunday, November 21st will mark 10 years since the inception of the PRAISE program within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area.

This program/service has brought together over 800 individuals to lift up the name of Jesus through the art of movement ministry (dance, step, mime, singing, etc.) featuring various ministries and schools in the DC area.

My God is good and I just had to share this blog testimony.

Continued blessing to all that are on their journey of a vision and to those that have been sitting, waiting and contemplating, "It's time to move!".

The PRAISE program theme this year is "The Commission- Go into the world and preach, teach, dance, step, mime, move". I encourage each of you to move and do what it is that God has called you to do.

I am Sybil Presley,a lifetime waitress.

I created the Be Kind To Food Servers Awareness Month that is celebrated in January.

To elevate the status of waiters and waitresses and to establish a positive relationship between food servers

and the dining public.

January is also National Blood Donor Month. I am organizing a national food servers blood drive.

The blood drive will be from January to March. I will schedule the blood mobile for anyone who would like to host a food servers blood drive at their church or business location.

Saturdays are the best days for a blood drive and the blood mobile is at your location for 3 hours.

I encourage a festival atmosphere with food,fun and fellowship. Entertainment. Talent Shows. Gospel music.

Prize drawings.

I am asking all my Papi Friends to help me across America! My goal is 2011 pints of blood. This will save 8044 lives. I especially want to hear from Papi People who are waiters and waitresses are who have been

one.
