This is a timeless principle on which every valuable breakthrough depends. Christ spoke those powerful words more than two thousand years ago; He didn't speak to a single generation, but to every generation. "Seek and ye shall find," is not a religious quote, but an absolute principle with boundless and timeless application. It works in just every area and sphere of life; faith, business, education, science, research, exploration, etc. In fact, limited results in every area of life is simply a failure at the level of the full implementation of "seek and ye shall find" principle.
It is a great imaginary blunder to envisage a situation of outstanding breakthrough in our individual lives, organizations, ministries and nations, etc, out of extraordinary quest. No quest, no rest.
What is your quest level? How far do you want to go with your calling, vision, dreams, aspirations, etc? How much are you ready to lay-down? Remember, the power to rise is generated by the degree of laying down of our lower life for the higher one.
Telling someone he or she will succeed is not as important as teaching such how to succeed. That is, putting into the mind and not just the hand of an individual, the principles, strategies and dynamics of achieving his or her dream is far better than declaring that he or she will succeed.
"Seek and ye shall find" is an open cheek. It implies, you determine how far you go and what you make out of every opportunity, privilege and possibility at your disposal. "Seek" is the principle; "ye shall find," is the breakthrough, possibility, discovery, etc, constant, but awaiting our quest.
Who has bewitched us to think that someone's petty prayers, piece of cloth, oil, candlelight, framed photo, etc, extended to us can actually lead to any meaningful breakthrough in our lives without our personal quest for the fullness of all God has for us? We have few seekers today; many are looking for cheap breakthrough that places little or no responsibility on them. A generation of casual, complacent and passive seekers can't pioneer a new era nor open new frontiers. The rule has not changed; "seekers are finders."
