Zhiyun, the world-renowned brand for camera gimbals, has just announced the arrival of the new CRANE 3S. This new gimbal is made to handle heavier, bulkier cameras with more accessories attached. Think of the CRANE 3S as the big brother when placed beside the WEEBILL-S that we reviewed here.

The CRANE 3S does take on Zhiyun’s new product design mantra and it is now made with a similar mindset as the WEEBILL-S. The new CRANE 3S now has a modular design which means you can literally make it yours and most suitable for your filming environment.

The new CRANE 3S is also equipped with the new SUPER motors, enabling up to 6.5kg payload in total. According to Zhiyun, it can carry large cameras like the Canon EOS 1DX, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras, and even Canon Cinema EOS, Sony FS and FX series, and Red Digital Cinema cameras.

The new CRANE 3S also has an extension module (included) that attaches onto the roll axis, so that you can mount larger cameras. This module can be detached so that smaller cameras can be kept in a small footprint.

The overall utilitarian design of the CRANE 3S comes with a detachable second handle with two options – EasySling Handle and SmartSling Handle. You can either mount EasySling handle to extend the grip for more comfort upright & underslung operation or choose to mount SmartSling handle featuring an intuitive control panel and OLED screen, for direct camera & gimbal parameter adjustment, or combine them together.

The handle mods are easy to fit and remove, and both provide multiple thread holes in different sizes to mount accessories. The modular design makes CRANE 3S highly compatible with motorized dollies, jibs, cable cams, Easyrig, etc.

Zhiyun is also moving towards removable 18650 batteries too, as the new CRANE 3S accepts a total of 3×18650 batteries and is able to run for 12 hours. There is also another DC-in power port on the battery compartment that allows up to 25.2V direct charging.

For longer shoots, Zhiyun also has a new accessory called the TransMount PowerPlus Battery Pack. It is made specifically for the power-hungry CRANE 3S as it also acts as a compact fast-charging power bank for the gimbal and camera together.

The TransMount PowerPlus houses six 18650 batteries and independently provides 18 hours of runtime for the gimbal.

Another feature that is brought over from the WEEBILL-S is the axes lock. This is very useful to ensure that the gimbal does not swing around while it is not in use. This individual axis lock is also useful for balancing the gimbal.

The new CRANE 3S also comes with new firmware with an algorithm that enables higher responsive speed and smoothness. In fast action shooting, the CRANE 3S can resist high winds. The 55° tilted roll axis is designed for an unrestricted view and allows enough space to mount large cinema camera combos.

For those who are already using the Zhiyun TransMount Image Transmission Module, the CRANE 3S also supports it. This means that Zhiyun is expanding its ecosystem of accessories so that it works with multiple different gimbals.

Anyone that is correctly "rightly dividing the word of truth" is also following apostle Paul (1Cor 4:16; Php 3:17), knowing that Paul got saved by grace through faith without works (1Cor 15:1-4; Eph 2:8-9) in ACTS 9 and that Paul was the FIRST member of the "new creature," also called the Church the Body of Christ (1Tim 1:16; 2Cor 5:16-18; 1Cor 12:17; Col 1:18).

A person who is "rightly dividing the word of truth" also understands that Paul alone is appointed the apostle and teacher of the Gentiles (Ro 11:13; Ga 2:7-9; 2Tim 1:10-11) and that Paul alone is made the minister TO the Church the Body of Christ for this dispensation of grace (Eph 3:1-7; Col 1:23-26).

The person who is "rightly dividing the word of truth" knows and understands that we are to divide PROPHECY (Mr 1:1-2) from the MYSTERY (Ro 16:25), and that Paul only penned the mystery scriptures, which today are preserved by God in Romans through Philemon KJV (2Th 3:17).

These things are basic biblical facts of the KJV Scriptures to any real right divider and to any true Bible believer that has come unto the knowledge of the truth (1Tim 2:4-7; 1Th 2:12-13; Ro 16:25-26; 2Tim 2:1-2,7,15-16).

This is why the quickest and most definite way to know whether or not a person or teacher is "rightly dividing the word of truth" is to simply ask them, "WHEN did the Church the Body of Christ BEGIN?"

If they answer, "Acts 2," you know for sure that they AREN'T "rightly dividing the word of truth," AND that they absolutely AREN'T dividing Prophecy from Mystery, AND that they most definitely AREN'T following Paul as their only apostle today.

However, if they answer with any mid-Acts chapter they very well may be rightly dividing Prophecy from Mystery with an understanding that Paul is our only apostle today during this present dispensation of grace.

If they answer, "Acts 9," there's a very strong chance they ARE "rightly dividing the word of truth," and you might have found another brother or sister in the grace faith.

Its a very important question to get in the habit of asking people, especially if they are a so-called Bible teacher!

If you're NEW to rightly dividing the word of truth, you shouldn't be listening to any Bible teacher that ISN'T rightly dividing the word of truth, because they can shipwreck your faith quick before you ever even have a chance to get stablished in the grace faith and get grounded in Paul's sound doctrine.

So, please, before you let ANYONE teach you ANYTHING about the Bible, make it a habit to FIRST ask them, "When did the Church the Body of Christ BEGIN?" And, then listen carefully to their answer.

Their answer will literally tell you whether you should hear them out, or RUN AWAY!

The TRUE and BEST answer to that question is ACTS 9.

Personally, I don't think you should learn from ANY Bible teacher that doesn't answer Acts 9. Because an Acts 9 dispensational view of the KJV Bible gives the MOST LIGHT to the Scriptures.

KJV Acts 9 dispensational Bible study is like pure mother's breast milk for the new born babe.

Oth4er KJV mid-Acts dispensational liftoffs are more like man-made baby formula (not as nutritional).

And, Acts 2, poison.

Definitely, avoid ALL non-KJVO Bible teachers, unless you just WANT to hear what Satan teaches about God. Eve tried that, and it didn't work out well.

Microphones

A good microphone is a necessity for making good videos, and there are a wide range of options available. To give you just a few options at very different price points, look at the Saramonic SR-XM1. Capillary refers to a tube with a very small inner diameter. In an industrial chiller system, a capillary refers to a copper tube within 1-2 mm. What is the role of the capillary in the chiller?

The metal capillary tube is one of the throttling devices of the chiller. The role of the capillary in the chiller is to throttle. The principle is simple, in order to increase the "flow resistance of the liquid flowing through the capillary". The ultimate goal is to control the amount of liquid supplied. However, while increasing the resistance to liquid flow and controlling the amount of liquid supplied, the capillary also has a depressurizing effect. When the high pressure refrigerant flows through the capillary, it changes from a high pressure liquid to a low-pressure high-temperature gas.

Specifically, the inner diameter and total length of the chiller throttling capillary and the nominal pressure difference between the inlet and outlet are all factors influencing the chiller throttling capillary. However, specific calculations require integrated cooling temperatures as well as evaporation temperatures, evaporation pressures, and the like. The evaporation pressure should be the same as the capillary outlet pressure.

By obtaining the pressure difference between the inlet and outlet, it is possible to obtain the values of the inner diameter and the length of the capillary, and then select the corresponding capillary. In most cases, this calculation does not have a fixed value, and the experimental values obtained by each chiller manufacturer may be different and complicated.

The capillary can adjust the amount of liquid supplied as well as throttling and depressurization. However, before the chiller leaves the factory, the length and inner diameter of the capillary should be determined and configured, rather than the customer's own calculation and installation, so the customer does not have to worry. However, when the first actual use and trial operation of the machine, it can also be slightly adjusted to meet the actual needs.

In addition, the stainless steel capillary tube is mainly used in a small chiller system with a small cooling capacity. The selected capillary has a small inner diameter and a long length, and the flow rate of the refrigerant flowing through the capillary is naturally small and the pressure is lower. With the rising of living standard, people have new requirements of security, intelligence, comfort, beauty, and entertainment in housing. Smart home is the one to meet these demands. Based on the house, smart home integrates the facilities related to family living by technologies of generic cabling, internet communication, security, automation, and audio & video to improve the living circumstance and save energy at the same time. The power supply system is the core of these facilities and the foundation to ensure each control system well running.

We can get a clear idea that smart home is consisted of lights, power socket control system, background music system, electronic door and curtain, audio-visual system, security system, generic cabling system, etc. Because of the compact of the residential houses, the controllers of these systems have the general character- compact size, as small as the common power socket.

Two common solutions of power supply

Among the traditional design solutions of power supply in controller circuit, the most common solutions are: RC (resistance-capacitance) step-down and the industrial frequency transformer step-down. We will talk about the features of these 2 solutions with pic2 & pic3.

Illustration of RC step-down circuit of the controller panel is shown as pic 2. We can know that the power supply is for the main controller, signal-isolation, and display circuit. The solution shows that, a surge-protection circuit at input side is to ensure the reliability and stability of the power supply circuit, and then the RC step-down circuit converts the voltage, finally using LDO to get regulated voltage to supply for MCU and signal isolation. And the output over-current detection circuit will protect the back-side load when the power supply works abnormal.

The advantages of this small transformer are low cost and small area occupation on PCB, which are the exact demands of smart home. While, the disadvantages are: 1) low efficiency, 2) narrow range of input voltage, 3) value of load is easy to be affected, 4)uneasy to test the circuit. The worst point is the non-isolation between the input and output, it may easily lead to electric shock which may cause harm to personal safety.

Illustration of industrial frequency transformer step-down circuit of the controller panel is shown as pic 3. Input and output circuits are same as RC step-down solution as both of them need to protect the voltage and back-side load. The difference is that the power is converted by transformer. Supplying by AC input with frequency of 50HZ Transformer step-down the input power, and then using rectifier and filter circuit and LDO to get a regulated voltage for the load.

The advantages of this solution are: 1) easy to test, 2) simple in circuit structure, 3) safety level upgraded as the input and output is isolated by transformer, and 4) lower cost.

Its disadvantages are 1 ) limitation of input range, 2) bulky in size and low in efficiency, which is against the demands of smart home as compact size and energy-saving.

A typical AC/DC power module for smart home

The above two solutions have different disadvantages. RC (resistance-capacitance) step-down circuit may cause harm to personal safety and the industrial frequency transformer step-down circuit don’t satisfy the request for compact size and energy-saving. Advantages of LS series

The primary focus of commercially available new energy technology right now is solar photovoltaic(PV) power generation, which harnesses the energy of the sun and converts it into usable electricity.

Figure 1 is a typical solar pv power supply system. In this system, solar PV arrays generate electricity from sunlight,ac to dc power conversion is converted from DC to AC using an inverter, then AC electricity is fed into the grid for home or business, or is used to charge the batteries by the power conversion system (also known as energy storage bi-directional inverter). The power conversion system supplies power based on the supply-demand balance of electricity.

In a centralized or distributed electricity generation system network, a centralized or distributed inverter is the heart of solar PV system. The safe and reliable turn on or turn off for the IGBT full-bridge is the most critical part of the overall system design and the most reliable part during inversion in DC high voltage and high power systems. Therefore, it is necessary to ensure the operation logic of the control unit reliably , and to maximize the insulation characteristics between each monitoring control units or dangerous electrical circuits in circuit design of IGBT drive control units.

Figure 2 is an example of inverter systems. Generally, there is a DC/DC converter (PV60-27D1215) in the front end to take electricity from DC bus and convert it into 24Vdc to supply power to the control unit. The isolation voltage of this DC/DC converter should be 4000Vac or higher to ensure the safety and reliability between high voltage bus and control unit circuit. The system drive isolation unit is connected between IGBT and the system control board, so that the drive unit is required to have high insulation characteristics to ensure stable and reliable operation of the main control system.

What are the specific requirements for a safe and reliable IGBT drive board?  

The IGBT drive circuit is mainly used to isolate, transmit, amplify the control pulse signal to drive the power to achieve reliable, stable, safe driving of the IGBT power device. Following requirements are suggested to be considered during IGBT drive board design:

1. a) In the inverter unit, the IGBT full-bridge circuit is widely used, which can effectively avoid the possibility of simultaneous conduction between the upper bridge and the lower bridge IGBT, and the short-circuit fault occurred in the inverter system at high and low voltages. Therefore, a safe, reliable, strong anti-interference, accurate logic drive control chip is a must.
2. b) According to operating characteristics of IGBT, the junction capacitor Cge needs to be charged or discharged when the IGBT is turned on or off. Therefore, the gate drive DC/DC power supply is required to have asymmetrical positive and negative dual output voltages and meet the requirements of transient charge and discharge current of junction capacitance to ensure that the IGBT can be turned on and off quickly.
3. C) When the DC high voltage inverted to AC voltage, the IGBT generates high frequency and high amplitude interference signals during fast turn-on and turn-off. Therefore, the drive circuit should feature high anti-interference ability, high isolation voltage and low isolation capacitance, to ensure reliable operation of the drive circuit and to avoid common mode interference signal conduction to the system control board.

d, The operating environment of the IGBT is large current and high voltage, which causes a high temperature rise inside the system during inversion, so that the gate drive DC/DC power supply is required to have a high operating temperature range.

How does the ON Semi driver demo board work?

Figure 3 illustrates how the On Semi driver demo board works. In this circuit diagram, terminal 2 and terminal 14 are connected to the gate level (G), terminal 2 of FOD3120 chip is connected to the control signal. When the control signal is high, the chip outputs a high level, the NPN transistor (2SC5569) is turned on, the PNP transistor (2SA2016) is turned off, the positive output terminal (+V0) of the power module QA151 is connected to the gate level(G), and the IGBT is turned on. When the control signal is low, the chip outputs a low level, the NPN transistor (2SC5569) is turned off, the PNP transistor (2SA2016) is turned on, and the negative output terminal (-V0) of the power module QA151 is connected to the gate level(G), and the IGBT is turned off.
