The Single-Row Ball type Slewing Ring have four points with one row. They could bear axial load, radial load and tilting moment at the same time. And they are composed of two seat rings, which design in compact structure and light weight, steel ball contact with the circular raceway at four points. There are three types of this kind of single row 4 points contact ball slewing bearing: without gear bearing (non tooth), external crane slewing gear bearing (external tooth), and Internal gear bearing (internal tooth).

Cleverly Change the Lower Bearing of the Tower Crane Slewing

Cleverly change the lower bearing of the tower crane slewing:

  1. Firstly, the main rope of the tower crane will be replayed.
  2. At 13cm on the flange connected to the bearing seat at the olive-shaped bottom of the rotating body, use a 14mm diameter steel bar to pull the ribs on the four sides of the tower machine in the horizontal direction.
  3. At the top four corners of the crane slewing ringplatform, each line has a wire rope buckle with a diameter of 12.5mm, each hanging a 4 ton chain hoist.
  4. The four hoist hooks are hung on the angle steel at the lower part of the revolving body at 90 cm. Be sure to hang it up. If there is no hanging point, you can weld a ring with electric welding.
  5. After tightening the hoist slightly, remove the connecting bolts of the flange and the bearing seat, the bearing seat and the tower body.
  6. Tighten the hoist to create a gap between the parts.
  7. Quickly pull out the bearing housing and immediately insert the corresponding thick square wood prepared in advance for the position of the housing that is pulled out.
  8. Replace the new tapered tower crane slewing bearingwith the bearing model and add enough butter.
  9. Reinstall the parts in place according to the above steps.
  10. After removing the temporary fixed steel bars and other objects, they can be tested and put into use.

Slew drive can also be called slew drive gearbox. Most of our slewing ring drive is kind of worm gear reducer. And the slew ring bearing is a gear drive part.

The slewing drive is a full-cycle rotary reduction transmission mechanism integrated with a driving power source. As a professional slew drive manufacturer, Fuyong Intelligent produces high-quality slewing ring drive products! Any inquiry is welcome!

NEW YORK, Oct. 11, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- B&H Photo is pleased to share the announcement of the new Zhiyun Tech WEEBILL-S Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer. Touted by Zhiyun-Tech as the "Tiny Giant," it features motors that are 50% more responsive and have 300% more torque than previous gimbals. This allows the WEEBILL-S to remain small and lightweight, while supporting DSLR and mirrorless cameras without reaching the limits of the gimbal's motors—all of which makes it easier to operate the gimbal for extended run times with more flexibility in shooting.

The built-in OLED screen can display a variety of adjustable parameters such as: Motor Strength, Follow Speed, Smoothness, and Deadband (helps prevent unwanted gimbal movements). These adjustments can be made directly on the WEEBILL-S without using the downloadable app. A built-in auto-tune function will tune the WEEBILL-S to mounted camera, providing the most efficient use of power and allowing your WEEBILL-S to run up to 14 hours on a set of interchangeable 18650 batteries, and the WEEBILL-S can power select cameras. Your camera mounts via the two-in-one Manfrotto/Arca-Swiss quick-release plate, while newly designed axis locks make balancing your camera faster and easier. The gimbal supports a full-range POV mode, Vortex mode (for 360-degree barrel rolls), Go mode for extremely fast action, PF mode (pan follower), F mode (follower), which has all axes follow your movements, and L mode, which allows you to mimic jib shots. Additionally, the Zhiyun ZY Play iOS/Android mobile app enables Panorama, Timelapse, Motion Timelapse, and Long Exposure Timelapse shooting.

An optional Image Transmission module mounts directly under the quick-release plate and transmits video signals up to 1080p30, allowing you to livestream from your gimbal. It works not only as a transmitter, but, incorporating a motion sensor, it allows for precision control. The second supported mobile app, ViaTouch 2.0, takes advantage of this, allowing you to connect with your smartphone, camera, and gimbal together electronically so you can adjust settings and control your set up from a smartphone. When coupled with the SmartFollow 2.0 module, sold separately, you can track objects precisely from your smartphone, without needing to mount your smartphone on your gimbal. The WEEBILL-S supports up to three devices wirelessly, including smartphones, tablets, and monitors. A third app, Sync Motion, interfaces with the Image Transmission module and allows real-time monitoring plus synchronous motion control for an immersive FPV experience.

Want to make smoother, more professional-looking video? Then your first port of call is a gimbal, and the Zhiyun Crane M2 could be just the job for filming mountain biking.

Choosing a gimbal is a bit of a minefield. There are a lot of brands out there offering gimbals that work with various different cameras so, on top of trying to find the right gimbal brand, you also need to choose a gimbal that works with your camera, and then you have to ensure it has all the features that you want too.

Can one gimbal do it all?

Over the next few months, I’ve decided that I want to shoot more video, but the issue I had was I wanted a gimbal that was both small and powerful. I wanted a gimbal that would pack in my riding pack, but still, have the grunt to balance my Sony A6300 mirrorless camera.

To make my search even more tricky I didn’t want to spend a whole lot of money, AND I also wanted the ability to mount a GoPro or even a smartphone too.

In all honesty, I thought I was asking too much and looking for a gimbal that couldn’t possibly offer it all, but unbelievably I’ve found one and I have it on my desk next to me.

Zhiyun Crane M2

Small but powerful.

Zhiyun is a Chinese technology company that has been releasing gimbals now for a few years. The brand started with smaller mobile phone type gimbals, but over the years has increased it’s range to include full-size, full-feature products that rival DJI’s Ronin.

The M2 works with mirrorless cameras, mobile phones and GoPro action cameras.

The Zhiyun Crane M2 is a bit of a crossover product because it’s as small as the mobile phone dedicated gimbals the company makes but powerful enough to handle a mirrorless camera. On top of that though, the Crane M2 ships with mounts for fitting a GoPro or mobile phones, and if you do choose to shoot with your mobile you’ll get impressive features such as automatic targeting tracking.

After reading the specifications I was a little sceptical after all this is a gimbal that costs just £259 shipped, and ticks every box I wanted ticking. Before pulling the trigger I decided to check out a few YouTube videos of the Zhiyun Crane M2 to see if it was really up for balancing a mirrorless and surprisingly those reviews and tests proved it was.

Manual controls.

The M2’s powerful motors aren’t just to keep your camera steady but can also be manually controlled via buttons located on the handle.

Joystick and OLED display.

A joystick on the rear of the device enables manual movement over the gimbal which is great for tracking or panning shots. Below the joystick is a record button which will use Bluetooth to start recording on your camera, and next to that a mode button for flicking through the various modes the gimbal supports including a POV mode, GO mode for sports and fast-moving subjects and even a Vortex mode that spins the camera around for some very creative shots.

There’s also a trigger on the front of the handle which can be used to quickly tap from mode to mode, plus it has a triple tap feature that spins the camera around for vlog-style selfie filming.

The M2 easily handles a Sony A6300.

Depending on the camera that you set up with the Zhiyun Crane M2 you’ll also have remote control capabilities and from the handle, you’ll be able to shoot video, photos and even control the zoom. This does all depend on your camera though. I first tested it with the Sony A6000 but the firmware of the camera only allows photo controls remotely whereas the A6300 will run video and zoom too.

Axis locks help with packing the M2 in your bag.

The gimbal also packs useful axis locks for easy transportation and to aid balancing, and it ships with a phone holder, a screw-in mini tripod too, USB Type C wire, and the case it ships in is sturdy enough to use as a protective case.

As this is a first look I just wanted to run over a few of the features and tech specs of the Zhiyun Crane M2 with the aim to delve into a full review in the coming weeks. If you have any questions about the M2 though then let me know in the comments section below and I’ll answer then as fast as possible.

The Zhiyun CRANE-M2 was just announced and it is smaller than most of its competitors. It weighs 1.1 lbs (500g) and can carry compact cameras, light mirrorless cameras, mobile phones, and action cameras weighing up to 1.58 lbs (720 g). It features enhanced camera control via Wi-fi and Bluetooth, new stabilizing modes, and up to 7 hours battery life. Available now for $269.

Zhiyun-Tech is a Chinese company specializing in electronic gimbal stabilizers. They have been on the market for a few years already and their CRANE gimbals have gotten quite popular.

In general, despite their overuse in many fields of filmmaking, the popularity of gimbals has been steadily increasing over the past years and manufacturers are trying to offer products for all weight classes of cameras. DJI introduced their compact gimbal for mirrorless cameras last week with the Ronin-SC. Gudsen introduced the MOZA Aircross 2 for lighter payloads during this year’s NAB.

In their last generation of gimbals, Zhiyun-Tech already has two products for different payloads. The CRANE 3 LAB can support payloads of up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg) and the WEEBILL LAB is aimed for payloads of up to 6.6 lbs (3 kg). Now Zhiyun-Tech announces very compact gimbal Zhiyun CRANE-M2. What are the specs?

The Zhiyun CRANE-M2 is truly a compact tool – the dimensions of the gimbal are 10.5 x 2.7 x 5.4″ (267 x 69 x 138mm) and it weighs 1.1 lbs (500g). It works with multiple devices including compact cameras, light mirrorless cameras, mobile phones, and action cameras – maximum payload is 1.58 lbs (720 g). Please mind, that a dedicated accessory is required for mounting mobile phones or action cameras.

The gimbal has a new quick release plate which makes it much easier to remove the camera from the stabilizer and remount it again. The scale mark and positioning memory lock mean that balancing only takes seconds. The axes can be locked in position by one button and prevented from swinging around during storage, which lets the CRANE-M2 fold up and lock quickly to fit into a backpack or even a pocket.

The handle provides easy access to all the controls. For example with a single push of the slider on the handle, users can operate the camera’s zoom. There is a bright OLED display which shows gimbal mode, Bluetooth and Wi-fi status, battery level and other important parameters.

On top of three basic modes known from previous Zhiyun-Tech gimbals:

Full-range POV mode allows 360° synchronous movement on all three axis

Vortex mode enables 360° barrel shots in all dimensions

Go mode allows a fast pan or tilt to capture fast moving subjects (on some gimbals it is called sport mode)

Selfie mode quickly turns the camera 180° to face the person holding it – made for vlogging (this mode has also been included in previous Zhiyun gimbals).

CRANE-M2’s Wi-fi and Bluetooth features provide seamless wireless camera control through the gimbal handle and Zhiyun’s ZY PLAY app. Zhiyun-Tech published a list of cameras which are currently supported for the wireless controls:

GoPro HERO 5/6/7

For smartphones, Zhiyun only states that most popular smartphones on the market are supported. The ZY PLAY app brings more additional features like remote control, time-lapse, panorama and vertigo shot.

The Zhiyun CRANE-M2 also features ¼-inch threaded holes to attach audio, lighting and monitoring equipment. The battery runtime is up to 7 hours. CRANE-M2 itself can charge cameras, phones and other devices, and it can also be charged from a power bank or other source.

The Zhiyun CRANE-M2 is available now for pre-order. The price has been set to $269 US (in Europe around €289 incl. VAT).

It will be interesting to see which setups can work with such a small gimbal – to look for its limits. When I briefly checked the FUJIFILM X-T3’s weight, which (according to B&H, body with battery and memory card) is 1.19 lb (539 g). I think it might even be possible to mount this camera with a lightweight prime lens. I am curious to see.

We will update this article with buy links from our sponsors B&H and CVP when those become available.

What do you think of the new Zhiyun CRANE-M2? Do you need a compact gimbal like this? Which camera would you use it with? Let us know in the comments below the article.

If you are thinking of venturing into videography and looking for an entry gimbal, check out the compact ZHIYUN Crane M2, compatible with a variety of lightweight mirrorless, compact, and action cameras, as well as smartphones.

If you are relatively unfamiliar with filming equipment, as I am, ZHIYIN's Crane M2 handheld stabilizer looks very promising at the first glance. Using my travel-friendly Canon M50 with an EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM lens, which places in the Crane M2 camera compatibility list, I was thrilled to try out a gimbal that looked like it could occupy a permanent place in my equipment bag. With the aim of recording some of our personal travels, as well as a mix of photography and lifestyle vlogging, this seemed to be the missing piece in the puzzle that is amateur videography. However, this gimbal certainly isn't for anyone whose camera isn't on the list, primarily because of the size and weight. So, if that's you, check out other options that can handle your heavier camera, such as Feiyu Tech Ak4000.

Specifications

With a tagline of making "every one a true filmmaker of their daily lives," ZHIYUN has brought a three-axis stabilizer, which is designed to perform for multiple devices and for users of all levels. As noted, before you purchase it, make sure you have thoroughly checked if your camera and lens combination will be supported by the gimbal. The list includes a variety of Sony, Panasonic, Canon, and GoPro cameras weighing up to 1.58 lbs (an action cam mount is sold separately). The majority of cameras on the list allow taking photos, start and stop recording, as well as a zoom in and out option when using the gimbal handle. Make sure you carefully study the compatibility list so you are not left disappointed, because certain cameras have limitations, (for example, unavailable zoom control on HERO5).

Crane M2 also has built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Wi-Fi allows you to connect to your camera for greater filming control, and the Bluetooth lets your camera sync up with the ZY mobile app for iOS and Android, which is available free to download and use. The app offers not just a variety of remote control options, but also contains tutorials and more.

Gimbal boasts 360° pan, 310° tilt, and 324° roll rotation through six different modes:

PF (Pan Following Mode): allows the camera to pan as you turn the gimbal left and right

F (Following Mode): camera will follow the handle movements

L (Locking Mode): camera direction is locked

V (Vortex Mode): for those 360° barrel shots

POV (Full-Range POV Mode): allows 360° synchronous movement on all three axes

GO (Go Mode): capture fast movement

Lastly, it has an OLED display, which shows battery level, connection status, and your selected shooting mode. Other features include a quick-release camera mounting system, scale marks, and memory locks to make balancing easier for different types of cameras, and you can attach the mini tripod on the bottom to use it as a stand or if it's easier, for you to grip and control it. Packaging also includes a hand strap, smartphone mount clip, Micro-USB Type-C Cable, mini tripod, and quick release plate. Currently, it retails for $269.

First Impressions

Although I had previously used gimbals before when assisting on a shoot, I had never actually taken a brand-new one out of the box and blindly followed the included instructions from the get-go. I would be lying if I said the whole setup process was easy. In fact, it was very much far from it. I found the included instructions very hard to follow, so inevitably, I ended up looking at ZY's own tutorials on their app. But, even during the most crucial moments of setting up, the tutorial would quickly rush past it or not show a close-up of the action at all. I found this very frustrating as a first-time user and had to resort to looking for video tutorials elsewhere just so I could finally start using the gimbal.

Although my Canon M50 is included in the compatibility list, unfortunately, the process was made harder by the fact that the viewfinder on this particular camera as well as on the Canon M5 may interfere with the roll axis motor under balanced position (which means I cannot use the Vortex mode). Once I had it set up and once I learned how it works, the initial instructions became clearer, but as someone who's never done anything like that before, it can be a very frustrating process. I struggled to connect the gimbal to my camera, which may be due to my camera's connection more so than the gimbal itself; however, that meant I was not able to start recording by using the start button on the gimbal grip.

The gimbal itself I found to be very easy and comfortable to hold. The weight of it is a massive bonus in my book. Having held heavier gimbals, I know how tiring it can become, but this one was very lightweight to use and to hold. To me, it just seems like a great option for those who travel often and don't want to carry heavy equipment. Once I attached the tripod bottom, I didn't take it off, because it is that light, and I prefer having the option to safely put it down on the ground or use it as a tripod for filming certain clips.

The biggest issue I had with using this gimbal was the different filming modes. First of all, before you go out shooting, you need to understand what each mode does and which one to use. This was my first mistake, when I thought I would just learn it on the go, but looking back, I would recommend thoroughly reviewing each mode first. Secondly, changing the modes can be confusing too, because you don't simply run through each mode by pressing one button. Instead, you use a combination of tapping the trigger back of the handle and using the "mode button" to find the mode you're looking for.

Zhiyun Crane M2 gimbal handle

As for the footage, even though I had moments where I wanted to put it back in my bag and give up due to how the gimbal handled my specific camera, I still can't fault it too much when it comes to the quality of the actual material, which is something you've already come to expect from all gimbals coming onto the market nowadays. The weight of it makes it easy to use it for longer periods, and I enjoyed using it once it was all set up.

What I Liked

Compact and lightweight, easy to pack and travel with

The variety of shooting modes

Decent battery life

Appropriate price considering it supports smartphones and action cameras, as well as certain mirrorless models

Suits beginners and vloggers

What Could Be Improved

More thorough and beginner-friendly tutorials

Easier and more logical way of choosing shooting modes

Full compatibility for all cameras included in the list for a better filming experience

Canon M50 mounted on a Zhiyun gimbal

Conclusion

Although I did not have the best start when trying to stabilize my camera or when trying to connect it to Wi-Fi, I'd be happy to put that experience past me, because this gimbal could be a really useful piece of equipment so as long as it fits your style of shooting and more importantly, it fits with your camera. As someone who is by no means attempting to get into professional videography, I did want something that can help make my personal video or photography tutorials footage more dynamic, and I can see this gimbal doing just that. The quality of footage obtained would be sufficient for me and my needs, and I would consider bringing it with me on shoots to potentially add brief video footage to the final gallery, too.

With a $269 price tag, I can justify the price if I were to make the most of all it offers, such as different shooting modes and support for smartphones, actions cameras, and mirrorless cameras. As someone who'd be using only one mirrorless camera for the time being, which also happens to not have the full compatibility with all features this gimbal offers, I am slightly torn; however, if I owned one of the other cameras on the list, I wouldn't hesitate. This gimbal is well suited for those who use videography as an addition to their lifestyle or even business and less so for those who specialize in pro video work and need to use more substantial camera and lens combinations.

If you think this is something you want to add to your kit, you can order your Crane M2 here.

COVID-19 might have caused the industry to grind to a halt, but Chinese brand Zhiyun are pushing on all the same with the announcement of their newest gimbal.

Zhiyun are undeniably one of the leading gimbal manufacturers in the world, with products designed for everything from DLSRs to smartphones. Their newest product, the CRANE 3S, has just been announced and looks to be somewhat of a flagship gimbal for them. While it has a lot of incremental improvements over previous versions, the CRANE 3S is also the first gimbal to offer built-in image transmission.

The focal points for Zhiyun with the CRANE 3S appear to be making it stronger and more versatile than previous iterations. They are achieving this through a number of ways: firstly, there are new "SUPER motors" to support larger cinema camera setups; the 3S now has a maximum payload of a very reasonable 6.5 kgs. Secondly, and in contrast to the first point, the gimbal isn't designed purely for these heavier payloads and its new modular system means it can be stripped back for smaller setups. This new design is allegedly highly compatible with motorized dollies, jibs, cable cams, and so on, though no specifics are available presently. Thirdly, the new battery pack system can run for up to 12 hours which is a welcome improvement.

The aforementioned first in the gimbal world is Zhiyun's TransMount Image Transmission Module which can stream video to up to three monitors, including smartphones. The respective app — ZY Play — also allows you to make adjustments to the camera and gimball remotely.

The launch of the system will be done via a live stream on YouTube which you can view below and will be held on 20th March.

Pricing

Three options are available for purchase through Zhiyun directly:

CRANE 3S (with SmartSling Handle): $739

CRANE 3S-E (with EasySling Handle): $649

CRANE 3S Pro (with SmartSling Handle, PowerPlus Battery Pack, Zoom and Focus Controllers, Image

Transmission Transmitter, and Smartphone Clamp): $1149

These prices seem competitive to me and the 3S Pro would certainly be the most appealing to me. It'll be good to see some hands-on though.

If you’re interested in cameras and taking pictures, you should definitely check out our 2019 Photography Gift Guide, but if you’re specifically looking to encourage a developing creator who wants to work with video on their preferred platform of choice, be it YouTube, TikTok, Instagram or any other, you’ve come to the right place. From smartphone accessories to get the most out of their built-in cameras, to stuff for people with more expensive dedicated camera setups, we’ve got it all.

Hex Bags camera backpacks

A good camera bag is a necessary accessory for anyone who is shooting with something other than their phone, and the Hex Back Loader DSLR Backpack and Hex Cinema Backpack are great options that are actually less expensive than some of the bigger brand options out there, but with modern styling that means they look less like something designed for function alone, and more like a backpack that would actually draw compliments. The Back Loader is perfect for a mirrorless kit, and should easily slide under the seat in front of you on an airplane, while the Cinema has plenty of room for larger DSLRs and lenses.

Price: Hex Backloader, $190 on Amazon | Hex Cinema, $240 on Amazon

Zhiyun Weebil-S gimbal

A good gimbal is a creator’s best friend, since stabilized video footage beats shaky-cam nonsense. The Zhiyun Weebill-S is a new offering from the company that basically provides the perfect blend of size, power, connectivity and control features and more. Its unique design has real advantages in the field vs. other similar gimbals, and it’s not going to break the bank, either.

Price: $439 on Amazon

Mavic Mini

Mavic’s latest drone is all about distilling the consumer drone down to the basics – and it’s great. The $350 Mavic Mini is way, way cheaper than any of their fancier consumer drones, and it offers really excellent 2.7K video that looks cinematic right out of the camera. For anyone publishing on social channels who aren’t concerned about producing 4K content (no one really should be prioritizing that, really), this is the one to get, since it’s small enough it doesn’t need to be registered with the FAA to fly.

Price: $399 on Amazon

Samsung T5

Samsung’s tiny, portable SSDs have a long history of delivering great reliability and performance in a form factor that’s so portable it’s easily pocketable. The drives come in sizes ranging from 500GB to 2TB, and you should be able to find them on sale in at least one of these configurations going into the holiday season, which means that you can probably find them for even less than that cost range posted above. A good SSD is a must for offloading video captured in camera on SD cards, and some of the newer cameras will let you record directly to these drives via USB-C.

Price: $100 – $400 on Amazon

Backup batteries and SD cards

These are easy gifts to get video creatives, which never go out of style and which will always be appreciated. You can never have enough spare memory cards, or enough backup batteries. Just make sure you get the right ones for whatever camera system your giftee is using: And for memory, focus on cards like the SanDisk Extreme Pro with 170MB/S  transfer speeds to ensure good performance with 4K video capture.

Price: Starting at around $40

GoPro Hero8

A GoPro is an extremely versatile piece of kit for a video creator. The ruggedness, portability, built-in stabilization and range of modes mean you can capture some amazing additional footage to compliment stuff you’re recording on your primary camera – or give you everything you need to capture a great travel vlog in the moment. The newest GoPro Hero8 has features including more advanced stabilization, compatibility with additional video accessories, digital lenses and more tat make it the best camera the company has ever made for creators.

Price: $409 on Amazon

Microphones

A good microphone is a necessity for making good videos, and there are a wide range of options available. To give you just a few options at very different price points, look at the Saramonic SR-XM1. It’s a generally not sold for more than $35, and is dead simple with a 3.5mm connector to plug directly into the camera port on a wide range of devices. Saramonic also makes iPhone mics with lightning connectors for similar prices. Then, at around $200, the Rode Wireless Go is more expensive – but still a bargain for a totally wireless microphone system that can provide audio directly to your camera. Pair it with an optional lavalier mic and you’re going to get great results.

Price: Saramonic SR-XM1, $25 on Amazon | Rode Wireless Go, $190 on Amazon

Our site sponsor B&H currently has a very interesting offer with the compact gimbal WEEBILL LAB from Zhiyun-Tech. Even despite its low weight, it can support payloads of up to 6.6 lbs (2.99 kg). The gimbal sells now for $369.99 and there are also discounted kits with various accessories available.

The WEEBILL LAB is a smaller brother of the Zhiyun CRANE 3 LAB. Zhiyun-Tech first presented both gimbals last year at IBC and Photokina exhibitions. In case you want to refresh the memory and take a look at its specs, you can take a look at our article about the WEEBILL LAB from last year’s Photokina.

The WEEBILL LAB seems to be suitable for frequent travelers as the gimbal only weighs 2.13 lb (970 g) and its dimensions are quite compact too – 2.76 x 7.48 x 11.81″ (7 x 19 x 30 cm). Given its compactness it actually offers an impressive payload – it can support cameras up to 6.6 lbs (2.99 kg). Please keep in mind, that balancing setups with a heavy lens might not be possible due to the limited arm’s length.

A great feature of the WEEBILL LAB is that the arms can be locked for easier transport and balancing. Its design also makes it easier for use in the “underslung” mode.

B&H currently offers the WEEBILL LAB gimbal for $369.99. The discount is $229 and there is also a free Zhiyun-Tech phone holder included in the package. Additionally, there are two interesting kits available:

Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL LAB Creator package includes the WEEBILL LAB gimbal with the phone holder, TransMount monopod, follow focus motor, 2 quick-release mounts for the monopod / mini tripod, and multifunctional camera belt

Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL LAB Master package includes the whole Creator package and a Zhiyun-Tech TransMount multifunctional gimbal bag

To purchase any of the versions, please follow these links:

Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL LAB gimbal with phone holder – Was: $ 599.00  Now: $369.99 (Savings: $229.01)

Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL LAB Creator package – Was: $ 798.00  Now: $499.00 (Savings: $299.00)

Zhiyun-Tech WEEBILL LAB Master package – Was: $ 898.00  Now: $569.00 (Savings: $329.00)

The recently released compact one-handed gimbal Ronin-SC from DJI is a direct competitor to the WEEBILL LAB. This release seems to be the reason why Zhiyun decided to drop the price of WEEBILL LAB. Anyway, it is us filmmakers who profit from such occasions.

Do you currently need a compact gimbal for traveling? Do you have experience with Zhiyun-Tech gimbals? Let us know in the comments underneath the article.

 Crane 2

  Crane Plus

This article we would show you a little bit about which gimbal might be best for you guys and your film making starts let's get into the first gimbal I want to talk about is the Smooth 4. This gimbal is different from the other two in the way that this is actually a mobile-phone gimbal so if all of you mobile filmmakers out there or maybe some of you that are looking at just getting into film making and you don't want to invest a huge amount this is a really good option for you chances are you already have a mobile phone in your pocket that's more than capable of getting pretty professional-looking shot once you throw that in a Smooth 4 you're gonna be getting buttery smooth cinematic shots walking down the beach or in a nice place grab a couple of shots throw it back in the bag nothing to worry about the next gimbal we're gonna talk about is the Crane Plus having like a really compact setup is a priority to then this one is going to work very well if you are moving around a lot maybe you need to take it in and out of your backpack the whole time you can fit the whole setup with one of your smaller cameras on it like the sony a6300 i can literally just throw the whole thing into your bag take it out again turn on start getting shots super easy even though the gimbal is quite small itself the maximum payload is 5.5 pounds it's got a 12 hour battery runtime which is super long it's gonna gather job done do what you wanted to do the third gimbal we're going to talk about is the crane 2 this thing is an absolute beast. This is going to suit to is people are really taking their film making seriously one of the biggest features that you're going to notice what the crane too is the focus wheel on the side of it you guys seven-pound maximum payload you also get a 15 hour run-time battery life which is absolutely ridiculous you can be out all day shooting with this especially if it's balanced well it feels more ergonomic with its thicker hand grip and it makes it feel like you're shot almost more stable because of the weight that it has and like how you can handle it. I hope you found this information helpful and maybe if you are on the edge about which gimbal would work best for you maybe you have decided now.

three axes one-handed stabilizer by Zhiyun. So what's different about this compared to the crane v2 well physically it's exactly the same and all the basic functions are still there but aesthetically it's a little bit different and let me tell you they up the bling on this one rose gold screws and I kind of like it the subtleness of it really helps distinguish this from the previous models oh and I love how they now include a sturdy set of tripod legs which helps setting down the crane.

When you're not using it this was something that they included with the crane too so it is good that they're doing so for the crane pluses on the software side of things there are a few but major features added to the crane Plus and a lot of which will require the zhiyun play app on your smartphone and really with the Zhiyun crane plus main focus is with the zhiyun play app and using it in conjunction

With the Zhiyun gimbal to perform and automate intricate and complicated movements for your next shots, for example, you can use the motion memory feature to program camera movements to save it and have it repeat that same movement every time you can also use the intelligent object tracking feature to track a moving subject and you can use the night lapse feature and automate a moving time-lapse with long exposure so if you're curious about how all this stuff works. However, the most interesting addition to the crane plus is the 45-degree POV mode which allows you to perform these touch angle shots and really helps add a whole other level to these dynamic shots that you can create with it when you combine it with slow motion.

And when flying on the crane is the fact that you can now amp up the monitor brightness on the LCD when I'm shooting in 4k before it wasn't possible when shooting in 4k when you were using the older Sony camera so whenever you shoot in broad daylight it was just impossible to see what our footage look like but confidence every time quick footnote though when you increase the monitor brightness on the LCD screen your image may look a little oversaturated but don't worry it does not affect the actual footage just use it to frame your shot and use zebras to gauge your exposure.

  Zhiyun Crane 3 LAB

 Weebill LAB

What's up guys I'm Jimmy from elegant screen works and today we're going to take a look at the DSLR stabilizers to crane 3 lab and the smaller we be lab from Eugene Tech enjoy since our team specialized in creating short cinematic action films on a low budget these gimbals are the perfect choice for us they include a tripod that also doubles as a handle works amazing to get bad sturdy double hand grip very ergonomic very easy to use and in context to our short film it allowed us to really get that steady high-speed cinematic footage without paying big bucks for large cranes dolly tracks and big crew to operate all that equipment for us there was a one-man job and it worked great without running gun style of film making both gimbals come equipped with an integrated camera control system this system allows you to hook up your phone or tablet to wirelessly use it as an external monitor or remote to control both the settings in the camera and the settings in the gimbals the camera control system in these gimbal's can also be used to operate the synchronous zoom and focus controller which is easily operated through the controls on the gimbal itself or through the connected phone now with a gimbal you really can't adjust the focus while shooting without messing up your shot the accessible focus control gets rid of that problem.

Permanently one thing that we also liked about these gimbals was the ability to connect monopods the extendable monopod allowed us to shoot those high angle jib shots while shooting our action movie we wanted to really push these gimbals to their absolute limits and what is a good action movie without that's right car chase roll the car chase footage . I know what you're thinking this was all done on a closed Road the cameraman was securely buckled up the whole time remember guys safety always comes first now that we got all that stuff out of the way I'm gonna go a little more into detail about what actually did here we got our photographer and gimbal operator

gust strapped to the back of her car and you use the crane 30-lap with the monopod tightly secured with the wrist strap, of course, remember guys but I said about savory first that also goes for your camera equipment you don't want to drop this bad boy in the pavement you lock the monopod between his legs and me as a director was able to see in the front seat using my phone as a monitor

to observe everything that was going on through the camera control system easily and look at how smooth this footage turned out even when hanging out of the side of they are amazing.  Even though our photographer is a strong man according to himself at least the crane three with our camera and lens setup is a heavy rig you will get tired after a long day of shooting, that's where the we built really shines with a lighter setup the waybill is both smaller and lighter than the crane 3 but size does not always have to matter here since stabilization with this rig comparability still is very good.
