Silica gel alias: Silicic acid gel. It is a highly active adsorbent material and an amorphous material. The main component of silica gel is silica, which is chemically stable and does not burn. It has an open porous structure with strong adsorption and can absorb a variety of materials. When dilute sulfuric acid (or hydrochloric acid) is added to the aqueous solution of water glass, it will become hydrous silicic acid gel and become solid. The dissolved electrolyte Na+ and SO4 2-(Cl-) ions are removed by water washing. Silica gel can be obtained after drying.

Generally speaking, silica glue can be divided into organic silica gel and inorganic silica gel according to its properties and components.

Inorganic silica gel is a kind of highly active adsorption material, which is usually prepared by the reaction of sodium silicate and sulfuric acid and a series of post-treatment processes such as aging and submerge in acid. Organic silica gel is an organosilicon compound that contains Si-C bonds, and at least one organic base is directly connected to the silicon atom. Traditionally, those compounds that connect the organic base to the silicon atom via oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc., are also considered as organosilicon compounds. Moulded silica gel is a little more complex with irregular shapes, including silica gel bowl, silica gel ice lattice, silica gel cake mold and so on.

Overhead rail shot blasting machine allows the workpieces to move with constant speed through the machine. The conveyor consists of a chain and trolley system suspended from a monorail, and can be driven at a constant speed or can be indexed.

A special feature of the continuously operating pass-through machine is the constant traveling speed of the workpieces. The ability to adapt the moving speed of the workpiece and the wheel power ensures that the machine can be easily and smoothly integrated into an existing production line. The abrasive is pre-accelerated very efficiently by the KT series blast wheels, allowing for short treatment times and reduced abrasive consumption when compared to conventional blast wheels. Maximum coverage of the workpiece is achieved by the blast wheels being arranged in an "X" alignment, diagonally to the moving workpiece. In this formation, the leading edges of complex components, welded sections, and flame-cut parts can be thoroughly blasted.

Applications include blast cleaning welded steel fabrications, deburring and homogeneous die-cast parts, and peening dynamically stressed components. Batches of small components or singular large, heavy workpieces can be treated.

Working process

Treated objects are placed on horizontal network conveyor going through the shot blasting machine. In the process of shot blasting the treated objects move through jets of shot blasting agent from turbines, which are installed at different angles with regard to the direction of the movement which provides efficient treatment.
