God's Plan is Much Bigger Than Your Own.

greetings folks,

If you have visited my page you have seen that I recently started an Artist Developement and Management Situation.I love the arts trust and believe its a part of who I am. When I let a host of folks know exactly what I was planning on doing I got the imaginary question mark above the head and if they were french I would have gotten an enthusiastic Pourquoi?  "You are an artist " this is what I heard from numerous folks from DC to MD to NY to ATL. Babe what are you doing this for?  Well I am going to tell you why. I have been around the block in the secular realm as it relates to art, music, poetry etc... for years. What I noticed is that as an artist you meet alot of like minded individuals who seem to have the exact same complaint. Their management is not working for them. Its a role reversal if you will but the management still expects to get paid.  The knowledge that I have gained over the years has always been a conversation piece with artist as well as small business owners just getting started. When they reveal their mission and goal I reveal my knowledge and I immediately go into action, seeing what needs to be done and meeting the need. So ironically due this I began to offer some of my family members some guidance in their businesses. My aim was artist but I then realized that business is an art. The lord showed me that you can help more than just what is considered a typical artist. God sent me 2 start-ups a Caterer and an Event planning  situation and I am now officially representing them as well as Gospel artist Deja and Photographer and poet JonVee . I am blessed and humbled by the lord because my vision was too small and he expanded it without one hiccup. As for me and my art. I am still doing music just looking for the right producers but in the interim why sit idle. If I can help somebody why not ! God allows you to experience certain things in your life so that you can use what was learned to bless another soul. I am humbled by the realization. I am honored by the trust and faith that these folks  have put in my skill level.  So yeah I am an artist but I am first a servant of the most high and I will be obedient to his will. Understanding can wait Obedience is a must !

Big Fan Base Magazine supports Twice the Hype’s Music
MUSIC: Twice the Hype

8466457689?profile=original
Twice the Hype has a Bigfanbase! Check out more about the twin brothers.

BFB: Your twins! How did the group come about what made you guys share the same passion?

TTH: My Identical Twin brother & I started rapping, playing instruments and performing at the age of eight years old. From that point on we started composing beats, writing songs and performing in front of friends, family or wherever we could get a crowd to watch us two perform. Our passion and motivation comes from our fans when we perform on stage. I guess you can say we enjoy the spot light, absolutely love the attention while performing and giving our fans a memorable experience.

BFB: Describe your style?

TTH: We are old school hip hop rappers with a unique sound that makes us different and recognizable when you hear our music. You could say we rap in an urban old school style Hip Hop/ Rap giving you a Miami sound with a New York hip hop edge.

BFB: Where did your names come from, do they reflex your personality?

TTH: Our stage Name definitely represents our personality. Rob (T-Hype) I was labeled this because of my unique hyper style getting the crowd pumped up while performing on stage. Ralph called (Kid Cool) I inherit my name because of my cool presence on stage and the words I spit while performing makes everybody thirst for more.

BFB: Your latest CD is “On the Right Track,” how did title come about?

TTH: This title defines our direction and style “Clean Hip-Hop Music” that all ages can enjoy.

BFB: Flowing with the jam is a nice song great production and a feel good quality, tell me about the concept?

TTH: This melody was created to allow our fans to lay back, relax while Flowin with a soothing Jam that makes you want to chill while we rap in an old school hip hop style. Part of the concept of this particular track, it has a touch of a GO-GO back round sound that is part of our Washington, D.C. musical roots.

BFB: Your twin brothers that work alongside one another, how is the recording process, is there any sibling rivalry?!!

TTH: Although we are best friends, we both will admit there is an occasional desire to compete in good fun in all aspects of our music. We have a close bond as brothers that are completely unbreakable. But at the end of the day we both know we’ve been successful because of each other’s individual talent and without each other’s support we couldn’t do this.

BFB: Whats should people take away from your music?

TTH: We feel lyrics are the backbone to a success to a song in order to reach our fans. If our lyrics do not have a story with a meaning people will not relate to our song or music. Twice the Hype writes songs so people can say “Hey I can feel what they are saying or I have been through that”

Actually our genre could fit in several categories from Hip Hop, Rap, Pop and a little bit of R&B.

We believe we are all a part of the hip hop family and are a prodigy of each other’s owns talents and accomplishments.

Twice the Hype has always represented true life experiences to be a viable part of our lyrics and music. We are everyday people sharing everyday situations and want to share that with all our fans but with a positive outcome

t.gifQ: What’s more important, melody or lyrics?

That's Great!  The fact is that problems are a part of life. Without them, life would be pretty boring. I view them as God's way of stretching us beyond our comfort zone.  The secret to solving problems is this: Spend 80% of your time on the solution and 20% of your time on the problem itself. Mastering this secret is important because there's a proportionate level of growth that comes with every problem solved.  Thank God for problems.

Every ‘No’ Not A Roadblock

By VANESSA W. SNYDER

The R-word just won’t go away. I’m talking about rejection. Writers know it well.

As an independent author, rejection is just a painful part of the game. I didn’t mail my manuscript to a hundreds of publishers like other authors, but I did mail it to several over the years. And, well, you know the rest.

However, my story is a little different because I finally got a “nice” rejection from a major publisher. And when I say nice I just mean the editor liked my book, but those with the decision-making power did not. The one who liked my book encouraged me to keep writing. So that’s what I did. I took my bruised ego and hurt feelings and decided that I had enough encouragement to find another way to get published.

I surmise many of us who opt for partner-publishing or self-publishing decide the same thing. We just don’t have the patience, interest or heart to sit around and wait to be discovered. But somehow we find the money, time and determination to get it done.

Now that my novel, “The Second First Lady,” is out, the R-word is still an issue. I made a call recently and it wasn’t exactly a rejection, but it was an honest “call us back in a few months.” Yet it felt like the R-word at work.

Just because you finally have your book in hand doesn’t mean rejection will leave you alone. It’s challenging to get press coverage. It’s tough to get people to buy your book. And if you’ve ever sat at one of those vendor tables as people walk by, you know what I’m talking about.

Sometimes it’s tough to be taken seriously.

But I’ve decided to face the R-word head-on, not run from it. I tell my kids that life isn’t fair and rejection happens. I tell them they have to tough it out sometimes and do whatever it takes to get what they want. So I’m taking my own advice and putting on my game face, doing what I have to do to get what I really want.

My stories – and your stories – are just as amazing and engaging as those who have the big publishers behind them. The world just doesn’t know it yet.

So, c’mon Mr. R. Give me what you got. I’m ready.

Vanessa W. Snyder is a writer, National Board-certified teacher and mother of two daughters in Washington, D.C. The author of a new novel, “The Second First Lady,” and co-author of titles in the “50 Ways to Christ” series, she can be reached at vanessa@blackdoorventures.com.
