A Man Like God Book Preview

Chapter 4

The Man: Without God

Strip a man down to his bear soul and all he is left with is choice.  He has a choice to die with nothing but his soul, or the choice to grow on from there and reach for higher heights than where he currently finds himself.

However, when you look at the things upon the earth that man can strive for, what does he actually obtain that he can take with him when his soul dies?  For all the things which man strives for, breaking his back to accomplish, using his time and energy to build; what of all of that can he actually account for when he dies?

His soul takes pride in his accomplishments, his degrees, the grand homes, cars, and bank accounts, but in the end he leaves all of that for another man to squander, plunder, and waste.  Yet for all that, the one thing or asset which he can take, or that will follow him to the grave and beyond; that he rejects.  He rejects it because it can’t be measured, counted, or stacked in a room.  It can’t be put on display, hung on a nail, or in a display case as a trophy.

No one can readily see it, acknowledge it, or praise him for it; and that which he receives praises for, or acknowledgement for is a hoax, false, made to be seen, heard and praised as something he brings attention to; as if to say “see me what I’ve done”.

Therefore, in the pride of his heart he lifts up his knowledge and his intellect for what else does he truly have?  However, what shall even remain of those, for his knowledge shall come to nothing.  The car and the home for which he takes pride in himself for obtaining, is not truly his, because someone else has the title and deed.  He has bought into a false sense of ownership, because if he misses a payment the bank comes-a-knocking, or they remove him or the property which is rightfully theirs.

So of all the things that a man says is his, what is actually his?  What can he keep that he can say is truly his and no one else’s?  Even his life the breath he breaths is not his, but he utilizes them only for the short time he is upon the earth.  Then they return to the one who gave them.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered” (Proverbs 28:26).

Man left to himself can only follow the imagination of his own heart, which we can see in scripture is divisive, having taken on the nature of Satan.  Yet man doesn’t even have his own mind, because most of what he thinks apart from God is a product of the Devil.  It is written: “Man’s goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way” (Proverbs 20:24)?

The evils that man has committed are from the Devil, the lies he tells belong to the Devil; for the Devil is a liar and the father of it (see John 8:44).  He gets angry and hurts, or murders someone which is the product of demons.  Anger, jealousy, malice, envy, pride, all these are products of demons.  He wars and terrorizes and takes credit for the aftermath, and yet even this is born of demons.  Therefore, all the pride that man takes in doing mischief to each other is actually the inner workings of a demon that influences him to do so.  The final act of doing it is man’s doing for which he will be judged, but the thought behind it is not.

The belief that there is no God, comes from demons, therefore, man can’t even take ownership of many of his own belief systems, because they are also devised from demons.  Of course demons don’t want men to know this, and keep their dealing, plots, and plan secret making the man think he is in control when he really is not.

In this manner the man plays the fool, for it is written: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God” (Psalms 14:1).  He plays the fool because he thinks that when he doesn’t believe in the God that made him, he is actually expressing his own thoughts.  He may have bought into them, but they certainly didn’t come from him.

Man’s beliefs system mainly stems from thoughts, ideas, and situations which occur outside of him, which demons construct to direct his thoughts and men considers these things, and makes a final decision on what he will believe.

I mean which of us by taking thought and considering all the things which gives us pleasure, would not make the decision to engage in them?  After all it’s fun, enjoyable, gives us pleasure, makes us feel good, helps us forget our troubles, and in the case of frequent sexual escapades boosts our ego.  Therefore, many of the things demons use against us are the things we find pleasurable, exciting, sociable, and thrilling.

God is seen as the strict parent making us miss out on what we consider the fun of life.  Therefore, the laws and commandments which govern them are tested and tried by men to see how far they can go in their disobedience, before judgment falls.

Even in the Body of Christ many risk daily their salvation for just a moment of forbidden pleasure.  Lusting and desiring things which we know God does not delight in.  Living a secret lifestyle away from the crowd; after all who is going to know what we do in the privacy of our own home?  Therefore, we maintain forbidden friendship, acquaintance, and fellowships just in case.  Deceived by the fact that those around us who befriends us really support us in the things we do, and we keep those who would challenge us, confront us, and expose us at arm’s length never allowing them to get too close, because what if.

In this we play the fool again, not understanding that it does not matter if man sees us; God sees us, and in due season he will judge, for it must be that judgment begin at the house of God (see 1 Peter 4:17).

Therefore, man has found himself in a precarious situation, having been put out of the Garden, facing a cruel world essentially on his own, with new rules and regulations which he is not accustomed to.  Not understanding that he is under a system which is bent on his destruction.  The harmony of God is gone; the intimate, close, touchable love of God has dissipated.  All that is left is the insecurity he now feels being left with only his thoughts, and a demon poised to take advantage of it all.

For without God we are lost, contrived, and detrimental to our own selves.  If we don’t allow the architect of our being access to direct, lead, purpose, and build our lives then we are simply a mound of flesh hasting to our death; for without God we are dead while we live.

Coming Spring of 2013.

Let This Mind Be in You.

It is written, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus". Well lets examine that for a moment. What was the mind of Christ?

Was it to party and have fun all the time? Was it to see how many women he could bed before he turned thirty? Maybe his mind was to get all the money he could, thinking only of his self and to hell with what anyone else needs? I speak as a fool: Perhaps his mind was to fight with the disciples about who is the greatest, or argue about positions and titles, then become all arrogant when the title is obtained: not being able to be called by his first name, or not answering those who called him until they called him Christ. Maybe Jesus was busy looking for different careers, fame, and fortune. I wonder if he used his platform to become famous in the eyes of man.

There have been many things written about our Lord and savior, but I have never read, or seen this kind of mind in Jesus. Jesus had one mind, one faith, and one baptism meaning his only focus was to do the work the father gave him and to finish that work. He was humble, meek, and lowly; terms that would make most men feel like punks today, but Jesus was anything but. He stayed with his assignment through being ridiculed, persecuted, slapped, punched, spat upon, lied to, tempted, whipped and beaten within an inch of his life, rejected by his own people, and finally hanged on a cross to die for our sins saying: "It is finished". He didn't start his new assignment until he had finished the first one: He came as redeemer, and left as savior and king.

This brings us to the so called "church" the body of believers who say they are Christians (Christ like) and have the mind of Christ. If you will now say: "I don't think I have the mind of Christ, or I never said I had the mind of Christ" then you are wasting precious time and energy, because you can't fulfill the assignment of Christ without his mind being within you. He whose spirit dwells inside of you, if you have the Holy Ghost, of whom it is written: "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth (the Holy Ghost), is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come" (John 16:13).

We the blood washed people of God who are supposed to represent Jesus Christ in the same manner in which he represented himself, have not truly represented him. We who are arrogant over titles and can't be called by the name our parents gave us without pastor, apostle, prophet, or minister being placed before our names. We who fight and spar over positions within the four walls of a building instead of attending to the true war in the kingdom. We don't finish one assignment before we are off starting another one; many times without the Lord. Jesus had one assignment, one mission, one purpose, and here we think that we can split our focus between 5 different ministries. This is not what Jesus meant when he said: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father".

We are unforgiving, prideful, selfish, self-willed, liars, adulterers, murderers (if you hate your neighbor you are a murderer), lacking of faith, destitute of truth, and distasteful in the Lord's nostrils. We don't want to hear the truth though we are born of the truth, and we house the spirit of truth. We have said as it were: "...Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits". We would rather continue in our folly, than to adhere to the true word of God; this Jesus did not do. We spend our time stroking our egos while seeking others to do the same.

We lie before the Lord saying: "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me". We quote this scripture with such vigor, yet when it comes to the practice of if we fall short. To be crucified with Christ means that I am dead in Christ, but many of us are not dead. We have our own mind, thoughts, dreams, gifts, and hopes which we use to benefit ourselves and not the purpose of God. Even the gifts given by God we use to promote ourselves to cause our own names to be called, or become great. It is written: "A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men", it does not say that man shall make room for his own gift. Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.

The Lord Jesus never promoted himself, but he promoted the father in word and deed for he did only those things he had seen with his father. He spoke only those words which would magnify the Father, and would bring glory to his Father. Therefore, out of the confidence he had with the father he could say who he was while promoting the father. He even told us to pray to the father in my name. In other words, don't pray to me, pray to the father and he will give you the desires of your heart in my name. Yet we want people to come to us, depend on us for prayer, and we make ourselves a mediator between God and man.

We think that we are so ready to see Jesus yet because of the way we have represented him, there is no fear of God in the body of Christ, or the world. We have no fear in sacrificing our salvation for a quick moment of lust, anger, or hatred and for these we would use scripture to attempt to justify our actions, which scripture has no justification for!

We have embraced the dead thing, the accursed thing in order to draw in the world, and we have removed the spirit; the Holy Ghost from our presence and have replaced him with entertainment. Do you think Jesus will justify you for this? No dead thing has ever resurrected a dead thing. Jesus drew the world, but not by the world's stuff, but by the spirit of God for it is written: "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee" (Jer. 31:3). Also: "No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day" (John 6:44). We can not hope to draw the world by incorporating the world's music, dance, or anything that is the word's for what is of the world is of the devil, and is death.

Blood washed believers, It is past time that we allow the mind of Christ to be in us, and choose again the things of God. Without the mind of Christ it is impossible for us to fulfill the assignment and commandments of God the Father. Without the mind of Christ we are doomed to continue the works of destruction. Without the mind of Christ we are simply doomed.

Please heed the words of the Lord, deny yourself pick up your cross and follow Jesus. Renounce all the hidden things of dishonesty. Put off promoting your self, and get back to promoting the Lord Jesus. Die in Christ that he might live in you. Love your enemies, do good to those who mistreat you and despitefully use you. If one hits you on the one cheek turn to him the other. Being reviled (to speak abusively), revile not again. Suffer yourselves to be defrauded. Suffer the loss of all things. Endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Let this mind which was also in Christ Jesus, BE IN YOU!

Wrapped Up In "church"!

We are so wrapped up in “church”.  We go to church, we have church, we had church, but we never become the “Church”.  We raise our kids in “church”, but not in God.  We make sure the “church” is clean, swept, and garnish yet we don’t put the same effort in making sure our true “temples” are clean, swept, and garnished by the Holy Ghost.

We cringe when someone put their finger prints on our fine brass around the pulpit, but we don’t cringe when we are using profanity, for it is what comes out of the man that defiles him.

We are sure to make sure that the sanctuary is clean and free of debris, but we are not sure to clean the debris of sexual impurities, perversions, and fornication that line the walls of our “Temples” (bodies) which houses the Holy Ghost.

We make sure the bathrooms of our “church” are clean and free of smells, and dirt.  We make sure we can see ourselves through the mirrors, and the sink is spotless.  Yet, we allow the Holy Ghost to move and walk in our bodies with filth all around in side of us.  We make a Holy God move inside of our filthy minds without being cognitive of the fact he is constantly living with us, and needs a holy environment in which to live.

Women allow men who are not their husbands to enter their temples (have sex with them), so full of lust that they forget they are “The Temples of a Living, Holy God”.  The Holy Ghost does not take a vacation from living inside of you, he is constantly there beholding your order.  He is there when you are engaging in sin.  He is there when you allow men to touch something so valuable.  You don’t make sure they are worthy to touch the “Temple of God” they are eying, lusting after, and craving sexually.  It is time we put more stock in the true “Temple of God”.

We need to take the same care of our living “Temples” as we take of the physical building that we call the “church” for it is we who house the Spirit of God

We are the tabernacle in the wilderness and as the priest carried the Ark and was required to be holy and clean, so must we be holy and clean while we carry the same spirit that raised Jesus from the grave within us.  There should be a great fear for someone to touch our “Temples” and they are not clean, or they are approaching us inappropriately. We should carry ourselves in such a way that causes God to want to protect us from the uncleanliness of men (universal), as he killed the man for touching the Ark of the Covenant which housed the Spirit of God.

The physical building we worship in is not the house of God.  God does not live there when we go home, for God does not live in temples made with hands, but has created himself a body in which to live; your body.  Walk and live as if you have a living God living inside of you.
