The baptism of the Holy Spirit releases miracle power, heals broken relationships, and restores the wonder to our faith. Churches  must embrace the Spirit's power to have a future. Here is what such revival could bring. The church of the future must meet this generation where it is. What will be the characteristics of this growing church? The church will not simply talk about Jesus, but it will also welcome Jesus to do His ministry in power. The Lord Jesus had to return to heaven, but He promised to return again to us through the person of the Holy Spirit. Nothing can take the place of the Holy Spirit's presence in the life of the church. Like Samson, today's churches ''shake '' themselves as before, yet they do know that the Lord has departed. ( Judges 16:20 ). As recorded in the Gospels, Jesus walked on the water. He appeared in such a different from that not even His disciples recognized Him. They cried out, '' It is a ghost. Most of us studied mathematics in school, but we never saw beyond the digits to its application in real life. Well, I am not an arithmetic teacher, neither am I trying to showcase my knowledge of arithmetic. I simply desire to take you from the known to the unknown; finite to the infinite; natural to the divine. I am passionate to inspire and educate; I can't stand ignorance. It is a cancer we all must be committed to eradicate; and such commitment should be unending.

One of the facts about mathematics is that, it showcases the importance of getting results by simple application of formulas (principles). I can spend a whole millennium if given the opportunity to live that long, just explaining this importance fact. I feel frustrated each day as I see humanity striving to arrive at results they careless about the principles, which makes such results possible. It seems to me that, mankind have been schooled and fooled in believing they can achieve results without the correct application of principles.

I see this same fallacy in churches today all over the world; ministers making declarations week after week over people for great fortune is now a pattern. There is nothing wrong with saying positive things over oneself and others, if and only if the willingness to follow through with the required principle is equally pursued. Telling someone he/she will succeed without teaching such the principles of success would only encourage and endorse fraud.

There is no single portion of scripture where God made a promise to anyone without stating the condition (principle). The fact that God confirms the words of his servants is not a license for unfounded declarations, which ignores principles. God is light! (1 JOHN 1: 5). He does not partner with foolishness and ignorance. That's why; He came to us in the likeness of His son, Jesus Christ; to bring us light (illumination) to lighten our darkness. Christ is described as the "true light that gives light to every man." (John 1:9).

This light is not intended for religious activities, rituals and ceremonies, but for us to acquire the understanding of God's plan and established patterns, modes of operations and principles by which every result depends. This is what the word of God is all about; giving humble seekers of God the right perspective of the divine order of life in all areas. Such insight maximizes results.

Friend! Life is not a gamble, nor a game of try and error. Everything in life is governed by principles; these principles determine results in all areas of life. Attempting to arrive at any result without taking into consideration the required principle is nothing, but a scam. Thus, who is a scammer? It is anyone with the quest for results outside established principles.

It is Important to live and give by faith. Faith brings the wonder back to the Christian life. Learn to hear God, and trust Him for resources. Learn to be a channel of blessing to others. We weren't born in Christ. We were born dead in our trespasses and sins ( Eph. 2:1 ). What is God's plan for transforming us from being in Adam to being in Christ ? Spiritual life, the eternal life Christ promises to those who come to Him, is gained only through spiritual birth. What does it mean to be spiritually alive in Christ ? The moment you were born again your  soul came  into union with God before the Fall. You became spiritually alive and your name was written in the Lamb's book of life ( Rev 21:27 ). Prayer releases the inheritance. You must stay in touch to receive what God has. Psalm 2:8 says, ''Ask of Me, and I will give You the nations for Your inheritance, and the ends of the earth for Your possession.'' God says,'' Ask Me'' and the world is yours! Prayer moves the resources of the earth and heaven into place for believers

Many evangelical churches have raised a generation whose notebooks are full but whose hearts are cold. They may have all the answers, but they possess no passion for ministry. They have sound theology but no doxology. They can quote entire sermon outlines but cannot get a word from God. The Jesus they know is trapped in their Bible, notes, theology, and tradition. The living Christ is often missing in the zeal for religion. The  living Jesus wants to take His Word and use it to help others. Let us preach the good news, drive out devils, heal the sick, and see His kingdom on the earth grow .

Sex and the City with a charitable twist

IT MAY be a long way from New York, but there was more than a touch of glamour on display at Mayo Movie World in Castlebar last weekend, for the premiere of the long-awaited 'Sex and the City 2'.

Colourful dresses, labelled handbags and plenty of bling were the order of the evening, as a full house of 240 people packed the theatre to catch up with the adventures of Carrie and Co more than two years on from their first big-screen outing.

Unsurprisingly, the number of females present was multiples of the male representation, but being in the minority did not seem to deter the gentlemen from the primary purpose Cheap Gucci Bags Online of the evening: having fun.

And fun there was aplenty, from the anticipation-filled cheese and wine warm-up reception to the post-movie cocktail bash at local bar Bosh. And the flick itself, of course, provided more than a few light-hearted moments.

But there was a more serious Gucci Outlets side to this particular premiere too. Organised by Mary and Aimée Munroe from Partry, the premiere party was a fundraiser for Aimée and her sister Katie, who are volunteers with the Niall Mellon Township Trust.

The two young Gucci Outlets ladies will travel to South Africa in November with the Irish-based charity, where one of its regular 'building blitzes' will be undertaken.

Through the premiere, a total of 2,600 was raised, which will go a long way towards assisting the Mayo volunteers in their efforts.

The two ladies would like to thank those who assisted in organising the event; in addition to the sponsors - Bosh Bar, Castlebar (cocktails), McGuire Shoes in Castlebar and Ballina (Best Dressed Gucci Outlet sale Lady prize), Sanzio Boutique, Castlebar (Best Dressed Lady prize).

The winner of the Best Dressed Lady competition was Marian Cafferkey, with the runner-up prize going to Imelda McHugh. A special prize for the Best Dressed Man went to Achill's Kenneth Deery.

The work of the Holy Spirit must always be grounded in biblical revelation. This does not mean that the church has said, ''Tradition is the living faith of those now living.'' Tradition says' 'Worship on the Lord's day!'' Traditionalism says, ''It must be at 11:00 am in a building with a steeple and pews.'' We must differentiate between human customs and real biblical truth. Also we must be careful not to press human, denominational, or other parameters onto Scripture. The most difficult task for individual Christians and churches is to embrace change. Though God never changes, human beings must change. The whole concept of repentance reflects this truth. The word repent, metanoia in Greek, means to change one's thinking! Proverbs 14:4 makes a practical observation of life: Where no oxen are, the trough is clean; but much increase comes by the strength of an ox.'' You see, oxen mess up the barn, but that was the high cost the Old Testament farmer had to pay in order to have animals available to help in planting and harvesting. Revival and growth are often messy. We should keep in mind this proverb and remember that where there is life, there will be evidence of life, and life can make things messy.
