Silica gel alias: Silicic acid gel. It is a highly active adsorbent material and an amorphous material. Its chemical formula is mSiO2. nH2O. It is insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic, odorless, stable in chemical properties, and does not react with any substances except strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. Different types of silica gel have different micropore structure due to different manufacturing methods. The chemical composition and physical structure of silica gel determine that it has many other characteristics which are difficult to be replaced by other similar materials: high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength, etc. Silica gel is classified according to its pore size: macroporous silica gel, coarse pore silica gel, B-type silica gel, fine pore silica gel, and the like.

 

Dissolution method for silica gel: silicone rubber solvent has excellent water resistance and is insoluble in water, but it can be dispersed in water in subdivided form. Some silicon rubber is still soluble in some non-polar solvents (most of which are swelling), which can be dissolved first and then emulsified into emulsion, and the solvent can be evaporated out.

How To Use Quick-drying Silicone Sealant

1.Use: A single group of silicone glass glue can be used immediately. It is easy to type it from the bottle with a glue gun, and a spatula or wood chip can be used to trim the surface.

 

2.Adhesion time: the curing process of silicone rubber is developed from the surface to the inside. The drying time and curing time of different characteristics of silica gel are different. So if you want to fix the surface you have to do it before the glass gel sheet is dry (acid glue, neutral and transparent glue should be in 5-10 minutes, neutral color glue should be in 30 minutes generally). If the color paper is used to cover a certain place, after coating, it must be removed before the skin is formed.

 

3.Curing time: the curing time of glass glue increases as the adhesive thickness increases. For example, the acid glass glue of 12mm thickness may take 3-4 days to solidify. But within about 24 hours, the outer layer of 3mm has been solidified. When glued to glass, metal or most wood, it has an anti-stripping strength of 20 pounds per inch at room temperature after 72 hours. If the use of glass glue is partially or completely sealed, the solidification time is determined by the closeness of the seal. In a place of absolute closeness, it is possible to remain uncured forever. If the temperature is raised, the glass will soften. The gap between metal and metal bonding should not exceed 25mm. In all kinds of bonding situations, including airtight conditions, the adhesion effect should be thoroughly checked before the equipment is used. In the curing process, acid glass glue will produce a smell due to the volatilization of acetic acid, which will disappear in the curing process. There will be no smell after curing.

 

4.Adhesion: A. Wipe the surface of the metal and plastic completely, remove the oil, and then wash the whole surface with acetone except for the plastic. If it is rubber surface, apply sandpaper and rub it with acetone. Please observe the precautions when using acetone. B. Apply the glass glue evenly on the surface of the prepared object. If the two surfaces are glued together, place one side properly first and press the other side to squeeze out the air, but be careful not to extrude the glass. 5.Seal: the quick drying silicone sealant also can be used for sealing purposes according to the above steps. Squeeze the glass glue into the joint or the seam so that the glass glue is in full contact with the surface.

 

6.Cleaning: before curing, the quick drying silicone can be erased with a cloth or paper towel. After curing, it should be cleaned with a scraper or xylene, acetone and other solvents.

Method For Producing Silicone Solvent

The hydrotreated low-viscosity mineral oil is used as a raw material, and a high-fraction, narrow-range base oil is cut through a narrow rectification column, and the fraction is 295-355 ℃. It is dewaxed by urea dewaxing device to make the dewaxing oil pour point below -10 ℃, and then refined by SO3 sulfonation and white clay. Silicone solvent is obtained after filtration. Silicone adhesive solvent is the raw material for the production of glass glue and sealant. Its quality directly affects the quality of glass glue and sealant. Silicone glass glue produced by using silicone solvent as raw material has the characteristics of strong adhesive force, large tensile strength, weather resistance, vibration resistance, moisture resistance, odor resistance and large changes in cold and heat.

 

PROCEDURES:

 

1.Using a hydrorefined low-viscosity mineral oil as a raw material, performing rectification and cutting through a narrow rectification column, and cutting a narrow-cut base oil having a fraction of 295-355 ℃;

 

2.At a temperature of 25-40 ℃, the narrow fraction base oil of step 1 is dewaxed by a wet urea dewaxing process through a urea dewaxing device to produce a dewaxed oil having a pour point of -10 ℃ or less;

 

3.The dewaxed oil is sulfonated at a temperature of 40 to 60 ℃, and then sulfonated by SO3 in the sulfonation reactor for 5 to 8 hours to obtain a sulfonated oil;

 

  1. Finally, the sulfonated oil is pumped into the white clay refining kettle, heated to 70-90 ℃. 2 to 4% white clay is added. The mixture is kept warm for 20 to 30 minutes, and filtered by a filter to obtain a silicone solvent.

To ensure all the protected surfaces be clean and dry

The two components should be thoroughly mixed at a 1:1 ratio by weight or volume,   a vacuum encapsulation for 5~10min is recommended(10~20mm Hg)

Working time is defined as the time required for viscosity to double after mixing followed by recommended ratio in 2h at room temperature

To eliminate any air introduced during dispensing or trapped, a vacuum encapsulation is recommended, especially for complex shape circuit

HOW TO USE GOLOHO-4313-AB

Stirred thoroughly before mixing

Mixed in 1:1 ratio by weight

Agitation: mixed thoroughly by low speed agitation

Foam scrubbing: evacuation for 5 minutes after mixing. Dispose it if a small amount of operation or no critical request of foam.

Encapsulation: pour into the article immediately after agitation and foam scrubbing thoroughly, it can flow flat naturally

Curing 1:curing at room temperature for 2.5 hours. The cure rate is rapidly accelerated with heat

Curing 2: curing by oven. After 30 min standing and foam scrubbing thoroughly and preliminary curing at room temperature, the encapsulant will be cured at 70℃ for 20 minutes

RTV-1 Silicone Rubber

RTV-1 silicone is a condensed silicone rubber that is gradually cured from outside to inside by contacting with moisture in the air. It can be also called non conductive silicone sealant. RTV-1 silicone rubber are used in bonding, sealing, encapsulating photovoltaic module components including photovoltaic frame, junction box and micro-inverter, power industry including circuit boards, electronic components, light emitting diode industry including lamp beads, lamp cap and light bar, home appliance including air conditioner, fridge, washing machine, and microwave oven, induction cooker, new energy vehicle including electronic component. GOLOHO RTV-1 silicone rubbers are designed to provide long-term bonding, sealing, encapsulating and protection against moisture, environmental degradation, mechanical and thermal shock, heat dissipation and vibration where a room-temperature-curing product is preferred.

 

When using RTV-1 silicone rubber, all surfaces must be clean and dry. Degrease and wash off any contaminants that could impair adhesion. Suitable solvents include isopropyl alcohol, acetone, or methyl ethyl ketone. Apply a bead of RTV-1 silicone rubber to one of the prepared surfaces, then quickly cover with the other substrate to be bonded. On exposure to moisture, the freshly applied material will “skin over” in about 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature and 50% relative humidity. Any tooling should be completed before this skin forms. The surface is easily tooled with spatula. GOLOHO RTV-1 silicone rubbers will be tack free in about 5 to 60 minutes. After skin formation, cure continues inward from the surface. In 24 hours (at room temperature and 50% relative humidity), GOLOHO RTV-1 silicone rubbers will cure to a depth of 2 to 3 mm. Very deep sections, especially when access to atmospheric moisture is restricted, will take longer to cure completely. Cure time is also extended at lower humidity levels. Before handing and packaging bonded components, users are advised to wait a sufficiently long time to ensure that the integrity of the adhesive seal is not affected. This will depend on many factors and should be determined by user for each specific application.

Solvent For Silicone

Silica gel alias: Silicic acid gel. It is a highly active adsorbent material and an amorphous material. Its chemical formula is mSiO2. nH2O. It is insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic, odorless, stable in chemical properties, and does not react with any substances except strong alkali and hydrofluoric acid. Different types of silica gel have different micropore structure due to different manufacturing methods. The chemical composition and physical structure of silica gel determine that it has many other characteristics which are difficult to be replaced by other similar materials: high adsorption performance, good thermal stability, stable chemical properties, high mechanical strength, etc. Silica gel is classified according to its pore size: macroporous silica gel, coarse pore silica gel, B-type silica gel, fine pore silica gel, and the like.

Dissolution method for silica gel: solvent for silicone rubber has excellent water resistance and is insoluble in water, but it can be dispersed in water in subdivided form. Some silicon rubber is still soluble in some non-polar solvents (most of which are swelling), which can be dissolved first and then emulsified into emulsion, and the solvent can be evaporated out.
