CFS-779 Methyldimethoxysilane or Dimethoxymethylsilane is an alkyl & alkoxy silane containing hydrogen in its molecule. It is also called methylhydrogendimethoxysilane. CFS-779 is mainly used as an important intermediate for the synthesis of functional silanes and other organosilicon compounds. It is the counterpart of Dow Corning Z-6701.

CFS-779 is normally used as a raw material for the synthesis of other functional silanes. Its molecule contains a hydrolyzable dimethoxy group and an active hydrogen bond.
