TIM TEBOW FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES NEW LEADERSHIP

Press Release: Jacksonville, FL (Wednesday, April 4, 2018) – The Tim Tebow Foundation (TTF) announced today that they have hired a new president to lead the organization. The non-profit, now in its eighth year of service to children all over the world, has welcomed Steve Biondo, formerly a senior-level executive at Family Christian Resource Centers, to take on oversight of the day-to-day operations of the foundation, which will continue headstrong in its mission to bring Faith, Hope and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need.

Since being founded in 2010 by professional athlete and sports analyst, Tim Tebow, TTF has established a reputation as an advocate for people with special needs and those in need through several main areas of ministry, most recently Night to Shine, their worldwide prom for people with special needs which began in 2015. This year’s Night to Shine event brought together 150,000 volunteers from 537 churches across the nation and in 16 countries to celebrate 90,000 honored guests on February 9, 2018, all of whom were crowned King or Queen of the prom. The foundation has also provided more than 2,000 life-changing surgical procedures to children of the Philippines who could not otherwise afford care at the Tebow CURE Hospital, built nine Timmy’s Playrooms in children’s hospitals around the world, fulfilled the dreams of more than 75 children with life-threatening illnesses through the W15H program and created hundreds of Brighter Days, supported life’s essentials for orphans in four countries and provided 76 Adoption Aid grants to families making the courageous choice to adopt a child with special needs internationally, 69 of whom are already home with their forever families.

“We are excited for Steve to be joining the team and look forward to seeing how God is going to use him to love and serve children all over the world. I know there are huge things in store in this new season at TTF under Steve’s leadership and direction,” shared Tim Tebow, founder and chairman of the Tim Tebow Foundation. “The board and I were prayerful and diligent in making sure we selected the absolute best candidate for the role, Steve is someone who already has a heart for the work that we do.”

Biondo’s experience most recently includes the start-up and growth of a non-profit ministry which impacted 14 million orphans, widows and oppressed children over the past 10 years, Human Resources leadership of more than 4,200 employees in 37 states and strategic planning and organizational development.

“I am beyond blessed to have the opportunity to lead this great organization and look forward to deepening and broadening the ways we fight for those who can’t fight for themselves,” shared Steve Biondo, TTF’s new president. “It is an honor to join Timmy and the rest of the team and to be able to be part of making an impact on the lives of children in need around the world. The Tim Tebow Foundation has big things ahead and I am excited to lead the organization into this next chapter.”

Biondo replaces Erik Dellenback, the foundation’s first executive director, following seven successful years leading TTF’s outreach efforts.

Having just experienced another hugely successful Night to Shine event all over the world on February 9, and having raised the most funds to-date at their annual marquee fundraising weekend in March, the foundation sits poised to continue its God-sized growth and continue serving thousands more children around the globe. Tim Tebow Shares His Secret to Overcoming Rejection

In our latest issue, Tim Tebow opens up about his disappointments and struggles after being cut from the NFL, and how he's found new hope for the future.

Tim Tebow’s heart sank as he stood in front of his locker holding a garbage bag. He stared at the jars of nutritional supplements and shakes that cluttered the shelf…then his eyes dropped to the New England Patriots uniform—a uniform he’d never put on again. You should have done more, Timmy, he thought as a wave of regret and shame washed over him. Why didn’t you push harder? Work out longer?

The Heisman Trophy–winning quarterback had been drafted by the Denver Broncos in 2010, then two years later traded to the New York Jets. After only a year, the Jets had let him go. He had high hopes when he was picked up by the Patriots, but they were dashed again when he was cut in the preseason.

Tim scooped his belongings into the trash bag, hugged and thanked his teammates and coaches, and walked out the door. “I was embarrassed. No team wanted me to do what I’d dreamed of doing since I was little,” Tim describes in his new book, Shaken. “I had no job, no car, no home. I’d let down people who’d looked up to me.”

But as Tim faced each blow, his faith remained a rock-solid foundation. “It was hard, but I knew God hadn’t left me,” he tells Simple Grace. “We’ve all been told that we’re not good enough, we’re not qualified, we’re not significant enough, that we can’t accomplish something. But every setback is God setting us up for something better. Sure, tough times are going to come again, but with God, they’ll be worth it.”

Read more about how God walked with Tim through this difficult time in the November issue of Simple Grace, on-sale now, and in Tim's wonderful new book Shaken.

In a recent email, I read about a woman named Pam, who knows the pain of considering abortion. More than 24 years ago, she and her husband Bob were serving as missionaries to the Philippines and praying for a fifth child.

Pam contracted amoebic dysentery, an infection of the intestine caused by a parasite found in contaminated food or drink. She went into a coma and was treated with strong antibiotics before they discovered she was pregnant.

Doctors urged her to abort the baby for her own safety and told her that the medicines had caused irreversible damage to her baby. She refused the abortion and cited her Christian faith as the reason for her hope that her son would be born without the devastating disabilities physicians predicted.
Pam said the doctors didn’t think of it as a life, they thought of it as a mass of fetal tissue.

While pregnant, Pam nearly lost their baby four times but refused to consider abortion. She recalled making a pledge to God with her husband: If you will give us a son, we’ll name him Timothy and we’ll make him a preacher.

Pam ultimately spent the last two months of her pregnancy in bed and eventually gave birth to a healthy baby boy August 14, 1987. Pam’s youngest son is indeed a preacher. He preaches in prisons, makes hospital visits, and serves with his father’s ministry in the Philippines . He also plays football.

Pam’s son is Tim Tebow

Is Tim Tebow Playing Football Or Bringing Revival?
Something is happening in the Mile High city of Denver

The NFL has not seen anyone like Tim Tebow before, and he makes a lot of people, including Christians, nervous

Tim Tebow is a lot of things. He is a football star, he is a son, he is a virgin, but most importantly he is not ashamed of the testimony of a life lived for Jesus Christ, his Saviour. He is a Christian in the biblical sense of the word. Not paying mere lip service, but backing up his words with the actions of a life being lived for God. He has brought the Lord he has served all his life along with him to the 50 yard line, and the world all of a sudden is getting a dose of the old-fashioned Gospel. God can be funny like that.

Tebow Preached Proverbs 27:17 To Team Night Before Big OT Win

Tim Tebow's game plan: Trusting the Lord Jesus Christ to work and move in him in a mighty way

“As iron sharpens iron, men sharpen men,” Tebow told the group, loosely quoting Proverbs 27:17.

Do Tebow’s constant references to his Christianity still bother you? Maybe they do. And that’s your prerogative. For what it’s worth, linebacker Von Miller, the havoc-wreaking rookie with 10.5 sacks who is among the biggest reasons for Tebow’s recent success, was inspired by that quote.

Kurt Warner Tells Tim Tebow To Stop Talking About Jesus
Bad Advice

tim-tebow-man-on-a-mission.jpg
The Tim Tebow story is truly that of a man on a mission!

Talking about Jesus makes people nervous.

It even makes other Christians nervous sometimes, too. Such is the case with ex-Cardinal QB Kurt Warner, who recently had some advice to give to up and coming Jesus-loving, Denver quarterback Tim Tebow. His advice to the mighty man of God? Stop talking about Jesus.

Isn’t it funny that when you really, truly stand for Jesus, the people who attack you? My advice to you, Kurt, is to be quiet yourself and remember the beatdown that the Steelers gave you last time you met in the Super Bowl.

And my advice to you, Tim Tebow, is to keep talking about Jesus EXACTLY the way you have been.

Don’t change one, single thing. SHOUT IT FROM THE TOP OF THE ASTRODOME that Jesus is coming back soon!!

Tebow to Plummer: I’ll take every opportunity to praise the Lord
Putting Jesus First

“I look at it as a relationship I have with him, I want to give him the honor and glory every time I get the opportunity,” Tebow said. “And then after I give him the honor and glory I always try to give my teammates the honor and glory, and that’s how it works. Because Christ comes first in my life, and then my family, and then my teammates. I respect Jake’s opinion, and I really appreciate his compliment of calling me a winner, but I feel like every time I get the opportunity to give the Lord some praise he is due for it because what he did for me, and what he did on the cross for all of us. I really appreciate his opinion and I respect him, but I still will give all the honor and glory to the Lord because he deserves it.”
