There are also many types of generator belt, air conditioning belt, and power steering pump belt that are all in one. There is only one long belt that runs through all the pulleys.
The belt is an important accessory for the normal operation of the engine. Without a belt, there is no transmission of energy. Therefore, when we usually use the car, we must regularly check the wear of the belt. There are grooves on the inner side of the belt, which is also a sign to distinguish the belt model. Generally, it depends on how many grooves the pulley has. For example, if the belt has 5 slots, the belt must be 5PK; if the belt has 6 slots, it must be 6PK. On the front of the belt, there is generally the name of the belt model. We mainly look for the two letters PK. The number in front of P represents the groove number of the pulley, and the number after K represents the length of the belt. If the front number of the original car belt cannot be seen, then the specific belt model can also be determined based on the engine model. Don't worry about this.
Regular inspection of the belt can avoid accidents. When the car is running at high speed, it is still very dangerous for the engine to lose kinetic energy due to the broken belt segment. Usually you can often observe the depth of the belt's clamping groove. If the depth is very shallow, it is easy to cause skidding. Then check the edges of the belt to see if there are any gaps or breaks. Once found, it should be replaced in time.
