Thom had been dreaming about touring Africa for years. When he was recording his EP "A Work In Progress" in 2013, GOD put on his heart South Africa. He recorded Ukuthula which is Zulu for "peace". In that same year when Nelson Mandela passed, some of the South African radio stations were playing Ukuthula for their country. He received personal messages about how the song comforted people. The concept of the video was to thank everyone for their support. Each city clips from the video are from South Africa. He hopes this video promotes peace in the African Nations. Why is resurrection Sunday significant to the Christian faith?
Whether it is called Easter or Resurrection Sunday is not as important as the event and purpose of the resurrection. However, the timing of the crucifixion and resurrection is significantly meaningful. The resurrection of Jesus is the culmination of all things meaningful, faith and fact, in establishing a relationship with God.
God used the timing, which occurred just after "Passover" and during the Feast of Unleavened Bread, to illustrate the ultimate sacrifice He made for sinners. Without this sacrifice, Christianity would be an empty religion. Every purpose of Jesus Christ, His atonement for sin, would be unfulfilled and the foundation of Christianity would fall apart.
The Passover commemorates God's "passing over" the Hebrew's homes by the angel of death (Exodus 12:29). By accepting Jesus, we are promised eternal life and we are saved from spiritual death. The Feast of Unleavened Bread (verse 15) begins with unleavened bread (made without yeast) and sacrificing an unblemished, sacrificial lamb. Leavening represents the escape from bondage and sin. Jesus is called the Lamb of God through whom the only escape is possible.
Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection are God's provision for the perfect and final sacrifice for man's sins. God requires no other payment for sins! With this provision, mankind is granted opportunity for new life by the forgiveness of sin and escape from its bondage. It is ours for the mere acceptance of this gift.
This is the key event in the New Testament where it is proclaimed throughout. All four Gospels report the miraculous event. In Matthew 28:6 the angel declared "He is not here: for he is risen!" Mark 16:6 reports "'Don't be alarmed,' [the angel] said. 'You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him.'"
In Luke 24:46-48, the risen Jesus gave His disciples a greater understanding of the resurrection when He told them: "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things." Jesus foretells of His resurrection in John 16; then to one of the doubting witnesses, Thomas, He says the following in John 20:29: "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
While Jesus was admired and praised as a teacher, healer, and for performing miracles, He was put to death on the cross. But God raised Him from the dead. Had the witnesses not believed what they saw, Christianity would not have spread across the globe and remained a profound belief to this day.

Every believer, regardless of age or length of time as a Christian, is a unique treasure from God with a story to share, a unique discipleship tool/ Thus, one role of the Church is to encourage its believers to step out and comfortably share what God has done with family, friends, acquaintances, and strangers .
Think of five people you can share your own faith walk story with this month. Encourage those involved in small groups in your church to also share their faith walk stories with five people this month. Such sharing will not only help those who share to see the evidences of transformation in their lives, but it will also be a witness of God's power to others.
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of Unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God ( Rom. 15:5-7 ) .
If we look at the history of Israel, we discover that when the king had an intimate relationship with Gog--the nation prospered ; but when a king neglected his relationship with God--the nation suffered. The same can be said today of our relationships. Keep your and your church's primary focus on knowing and becoming like Jesus and all other relationships--marriage, family, friendships , church,, work, acquaintances, community, and society--are encourage to become more Christlike. May the Lord our God always have a light in his heart for you all.
God uses the family unit as a cocoon for spiritual transformation. Cultivating such an environment not only gives children early glimpses of God's amazing love and strength, but it also provides fresh opportunities for you and others in your church to learn God's ways even as you seek to guide children ( see Deut. 6:6-7 ). We are commanded to teach our children about God's commandment.
God gives the church great flexibility in the way it does things --but not in what it does . The words of Jesus in Matthew 28 make the mission of the church clear : The responsibility for disciplining rests with the church and all believers . In other words , your church is given the instruction to take the spiritual initiative for cultivating an environment of love , trust , and obedience to God ,all for His glory . It is not an environment that pushes cataclysm--sudden or drastic change in lives--but instead one that nurtures the transformation of believers from man's nature into God's nature .
God gives his children His Word so that they will know His heart and the wisdom He has to share . His Word is the firm foundation on which believers are to establish their unique relationship with Him . The Word of God connects us with Jesus by demonstrating how Jesus lived and how He loved--and how God wants us to live .To the Jews who had believed him , Jesus said , If you hold to my teaching , you are really my disciples .Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free '' ( John 8:31-32 ) . All Scripture is God - breathed and is useful for teaching ,rebuking , correcting and training in righteousness , so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for for every good work (2 Tim .3 :16 -17 ) .
Obedience. Few of us like to roll that word off our tongue . After trusting and repentance , obedience represents the crucial link to a personal relationship with God. When you and other church leaders are obedient to God the Father ---just as Jesus was ---you , too , have an opportunity to be more like the Father , to show your true love for Him , and to see God draw others to Himself through you . Since spiritual transformation is accomplished from the inside out , the more you surrender to becoming like Jesus , the more you will '' behave '' like Jesus . And the more others will be drawn to this change in you .
