Kansas City, MO, December 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Dreamin' Out Loud Entertainment the 2012 IMEA Record Label of the Year award winning indie Christian record label has ended its’ relationship with Petersburg, VA singer Katelyn McCarter.

McCarter, who was discovered and signed to the Kansas City, Missouri based label in 2012, had recently completed the label’s debut 10 song project “Beyond Skin Deep” and an original song for the Christmas season. The first single from the project, “Rough Day” was released in June and will still be available for purchase through the label although the complete “Beyond Skin Deep” project and Christmas song will not be released. Though specific reasons for ending the relationship cannot be disclosed the company wishes Katelyn well and states that the majority of the songs from the project will be re-recorded and released on award winning contemporary Christian recording artist Kristin Rader from Cleveland, TN. Kristin was brought to the attention of the label by her radio promoter/manager Mr. Mark Giles of Hit Radio Promo. Mark had previously promoted “Rough Day,” the labels’ debut release.

“Kristin, who is in the final stages of officially signing with our label, has two full CD projects already to her credit and is just the artist we were always looking for,” says company co-founder Arthur E. Payne. “She will be a great inspiration to many and a great asset to our label.”

The Music Producer

Someone once asked me, "What is a Music Producer?", So I thought about it and found that I didn't have a single answer to this question at that time. Hopefully this article will answer this question:

Description

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:8466473258?profile=original

A record producer is an individual working within the music industry, whose job it is to oversee and manage the recording (i.e. “production”) of an artist’s music. A producer has many roles that may include, but are not limited to, gathering ideas for the project, selecting songs and/or musicians, coaching the artist and musicians in the studio, controlling the recording sessions, and supervising the entire process through mixing and mastering. Producers also often take on a wider entrepreneurial role, with responsibility for the budget, schedules, and negotiations.

Today, the recording industry has two kinds of producers: executive producer and music producer; they have different roles. While an executive producer oversees a project’s finances, a music producer oversees the creation of the music.

A music producer can, in some cases, be compared to a film director, with noted practitioner Phil Ek himself describing his role as “the person who creatively guides or directs the process of making a record, like a director would a movie. The engineer would be more the cameraman of the movie.” The music producer’s job is to create, shape, and mold a piece of music. The scope of responsibility may be one or two songs or an artist’s entire album – in which case the producer will typically develop an overall vision for the album and how the various songs may interrelate.

In the UK, before the rise of the record producer, someone from A&R would oversee the recording session(s), assuming responsibility for creative decisions relating to the recording.
