We invite you to celebrate innovative technology and renewal in your own backyard! The Seat Pleasant City Center Groundbreaking Ceremony will take place Saturday, September 29, 2012, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Goodwin Park 6013 Addison Road, Seat Pleasant, Md. 20743.
Being built as a "Community of the Future", this development will be the largest “green” project of its kind in the state of Maryland; Seat Pleasant is proud to be a leader in this regard. This project will include a LEED-Platinum City Hall Building, which, along with the other buildings, will be positioned with energy efficient solar panels and other renewable energy solutions to reduce the size of the carbon footprint of each of the facilities. Additionally, the City Center will include a Health and Wellness Center and Recreation Center, a Youth Training and Multipurpose Building, residential units for seniors, green space and public gardens.
We invite you to join us a we launch this development with a large Groundbreaking Ceremony. This historic event will attract some of the region’s most influential political, business and social leaders to witness the groundbreaking for this highly anticipated multimillion dollar “green” infrastructure project. This event will also launch the cities “going green” initiative and will have demonstrations promoting a more harmonious relationship with nature. Additionally, an afternoon concert is planned featuring “A” list performers.
