The Great Pearl
Matthew 13:45-46 KJV
“45 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a merchant man, seeking goodly pearls: 46 Who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had, and bought it."
Brothers and Sisters, many times has these verse implied that it is Jesus seeking us as the Pearl, but let us turn this in another direction. Jesus is the Great Pearl that we have found through the Grace and Mercy of The Father and the Love Jesus has for His Father. When we come to Accepting Jesus, we must give of ourselves completely in submission to Jesus As Savior and Lord over our lives!
There is nothing that can be compared to Jesus that is in this world, for He is One Of A Kind. Just as the merchant sold All That He Had to buy just this One Great Pearl, so must we Give Our Lives in such a manner. For we are all Debtors that can never repay the price that Jesus Gave to allow us to be Saved By His Grace and Mercy, given of The Father.
Jesus says that we Must seek Him as the Widow that lost one of her coins…
Luke 15:8-10 KJV
"8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find [it]? 9 And when she hath found [it], she calleth [her] friends and [her] neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. 10 Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth."
To all of the things that are on this earth that We Find as Good, Precious, Valuable is in No Comparison to the Value Of Jesus. There is No Object, No Job, No Amount of Money, No Friend, No Family Member that can Compare to Jesus! In our acceptance of Jesus as Savior, then we should have been taught the First and Greatest Commandment, that is, to Love Jesus in the Entirety Of Our Lives!!!
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 KJV
"4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might."
Matthew 22:37-38 KJV
"37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment."
Mark 12:29-30 KJV
"29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: 30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this [is] the first commandment."

“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."
Too many forget the First Commandment but remember the Second Command with Pride…
Matthew 22:39 KJV
“And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself."
Too many will bend over backwards to fulfill the Second Commandment, not realizing they have left Their First Love. Too many trade there places and say that they do the things they do for the Love Of Jesus, but see this is incorrect thinking, wrong teaching. Jesus, is equal to The Father in All Ways, demands that He comes First before anything else in Your Life, even before the Lost, the Needy, the Broken Hearted, the Sick and anything else that You would put First!
Exodus 20:3-5 KJV
"3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth: 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;"
Do not think that I am ignorant, for yes these verses deal with the Idol Worship that they had been exposed to in Egypt, but there are some points that need to be extracted about Jesus. First, we should have No Other Gods, which includes anything that we put First in our lives that is upon this earth, we are Not to Bow Down, be in Controlled Of, by these things. Second thing that has Not Changed is, Jesus is a Jealous God. He wants you all to Himself and Jesus to All Of Your Self in All Things. How do we know this?

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
John 10:30 KJV
“I and [my] Father are one."
Jesus should be The Great Pearl in Your Life. He should be The First Thing you think of when you wake up and the Last Thing you think of at the end of your day. Jesus should be in Your Thoughts throughout your day in all that you do or say. Jesus should be the First and Last of everything that touches your life.
How far is this to go one might ponder? Jesus says that if we Find Our Life here on earth, then when all is said and done at the Judgment Seat, we will Lose Our Lives.

“He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."

“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it."
We are to be in a Continual State of Desire For Jesus and His Ways. We Must Love Jesus enough to Change from the Inside Out, that is, without Works, it begins in The Heart, The Mind, The Soul and is Manifested in Our Strength. Jesus wants the Complete You, but it Must start with making Jesus The Great Pearl Of Your Life!

“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually."

“Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD."
Hebrews 11:6 KJV
“But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him."
Jesus will Not Accept being Second Place to anything or anyone, He Expects us to PUT Him First in All Things. What does this mean? It means that no matter what I Do or Say My First Action, My First Thought is Jesus. No matter the situation, how good or bad it is, Jesus has to be First!!!
Jesus is the Greatest Pearl that we can purchase and the purchasing is the Price Of Your Life and Jesus is Expecting Full Price, anything less is Not Acceptable!!!
We can go to a church (denomination) and Not Be The Church. We can help a million people and Not Be The Church. We can sing a million songs and Not Be The Church. Being The Church Requires Jesus to be First, which means Obedience To His Word and The Holy Spirit MUST be First after the Purchasing Price. The Scriptures tells us that we Must First Love The Lord with All of our Minds, All of our Soul, All of our Hearts these are all Internal and then to Love The Lord with All Of Our Strength in Walking Out His Word through The Power and Authority Of The Holy Spirit.
Many of you need to Put Jesus on the Throne once again, to make Him Your First Love. It begins with Repentance, asking for Forgiveness for Not Making Jesus the Greatest Pearl Of YOUR LIFE! That you have made Him second place!! To make Jesus Your Greatest Pearl, you Must Surrender All Of Your Will, Desires to Him, even when Darkness may be surrounding you, Jesus has to be First!!!
