The 1000 watt double ended hps is composed of translucent polycrystalline alumina (PCA) ceramic arc tube, outer bubble shell, metal bracket, degasser and lamp head. Arc tube is its core component, filled with mercury, sodium and inert gas. (1) The large start-up current increases the short-term load of power supply lines and substation boxes, and increases the cable diameter and the design capacity of substation boxes.

(2) It has the high demand for power grid, and voltage fluctuation should not exceed the rated from +6% to -8%. High voltage will affect the lamp life, while the extreme low state will cause the lamp luminous instability or extinction.

(3) The whole lamp should be matched with the ballast.

(4) The color rendering index is low and the application range is limited.
