Good Day Ladies! I know many of us are still reflecting on the service we enjoyed on this past Resurrection Sunday. I thoroughly enjoyed my Pastor preach, Jesus is Alive. I would also love to hear the message you heard that has inspired you.
As I write to you today, I believe God is calling us to pray. For the month of April, will you join me to pray without ceasing? It is critical in this hour that we pray for our nation, children, community, supervisors and family. In addition, we need to pray that our faith fails us not. I don’t know about you but when you faith is tested; prayer strengthens you and gives you peace.
There truly is a dynamic shift taking place in the body of Christ and God is calling us, young and old to commune with him through prayer that we may release the issues of our heart. What family member of yours has been going though? What things are happening in your community and school system? God is cultivating a revival in the spirits of his beloved sons and daughters through prayer which is stirring the atmosphere for miracles.
So what must me we do:
- Believe that when we pray God hears your prayers
- Pray without ceasing (morning, noon and night)
- Pray with the gift of the Holy Spirit
- Pray in the name of Jesus
- Pray with a scripture of meditation
- Pray with boldness
I remember several years ago, my dear sister (Shan) and I would pray once a week over the phone. What was so amazing is even though Shan and I would not see each other if once a year, when we prayed it was as if we met for lunch that very same day. When you pray to the Father there is closeness and intimacy shared that is truly priceless. There were many times Shan and I would pray and what we thought would only be 30-45 min sometimes turned into over an hour. Please hear me, I am not saying you have to pray for a certain amount of time, or in a certain posture, but I do believe no matter how long you pray as soon as you open your mouth, God hears your voice and immediately joins in.
As we go through the month of April, let’s seek the Kingdom of God and all of its righteousness. Let’s call out by name people, places and things that God places on our heart. God is calling us to a time of prayer.
