Stop trying to do, instead strive to become. It is very easy to do, when you become than trying to do, when you haven't become. It is insanity for someone to attempt the function of a medical doctor when he or she is not one, but when one becomes a medical doctor, there is absolutely no difficulty performing the functions of a medical doctor. This holds true for any other profession. So, what comes first is not doing the job of a medical doctor, but becoming a medical doctor. This is equally reflected in the words of Christ as seen below.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God." Jn 1:12
As seen in the above scripture, the focus of Christ is not to get people to do the works of God as many think, but to become sons of God. Why? The reason is simple; it is not a stressful exercise to do the works of God when one is a son of God. Thus, trying to do the works of God, instead of striving to become a son of God is, but gross insanity. It's the same as a woman working hard to give birth without being pregnant.
Too many people today are trying to do too many things. For instance, in the church world, too many people are trying to do pastoral, prophetic and apostolic works when they are none of the above. They appoint themselves the above titles just to create an impression when actually they’re simply charlatans. Such scandalous actions have cast a dark shadow on the church world in so many quarters.
Listen! Stop trying to do, simply become and doing would no longer be a problem. I have written more than fifty books; I didn't struggle to do that; it is just, but natural to who and what I am in Christ. Trying to do what I do, without becoming who and what I am, it's nothing, but a voluntary suicide mission.
Stop! I say again, stop striving to do what you see people do, instead strive to become. Imitation leads to limitation! It is easy than you think to do just what might seem impossible when you become. I hope you have been enlightened by this brief insight. Cheers! Dr Etta
