The S solid shaft is induction hardened and ground, can be cut to any length desired, up to the maximum length of any given shaft diameter. It is then finely polished in order to provide a long lasting round rail positioning system when used with either our super linear ball bearings or aluminum pillow blocks.

Linear Shaft S Metric Features
The assemblies which are together with S linear solid shaft to constitute the linear positioning system: SK stand-up shaft support, PA stand-up shaft support, SHF horizontal shaft support and Asian metric LM linear bearing series as well as SLM super linear bearing series, European metric KB linear bearing series as well as SKB super linear bearing series, and matching SMA Asian metric linear bearing pillow block as well as KBA European metric linear bearing pillow block. Or S linear shaft combines with aluminum shaft support rail platform, with SME Asian metric open series linear bearing pillow block, TBR Asian metric adjustment open series linear bearing pillow block, KBE or KBB-OP European metric open series linear bearing pillow blocks, to constitutes a linear positioning system.
The optional material of ISUTAMI metric linear shaft is 45 high quality carbon steel (S45C) with hardness above HRC58; GCr bearing steel with chrome plating (SUJ2), hardness is above HRC60; 9Cr18 stainless steel (SUS440), hardness above HRC52. The outer diameter (D) of the shaft ranges from 6 to 50 mm with an accuracy of g6 or h6, the depth of the hardened layer ranges from 0.4 to 3.0 mm, and the weight per meter ranges from 0.22-15.4 Kg/M.
