I Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
You can put whatever you were after “I was”; but now, you have been washed in the blood of Jesus and you have been redeemed. Here are a couple of people that was but not anymore.
According to Acts 7:57-8:1; Saul was a of the church folk, but he met Jesus on the road to Damascus and he was converted. Saul is no longer a murderer. According to John 4, Jesus met a Samaritan woman and told her about the 5 she had the one she had now was not hers. She then ran and told men to come and see a man that has told me everything I did. The Samaritan woman is no longer a prostitute.
Just like Jesus has forgiven them and given them a new life; so it is with us. You may have been a prostitute, murdered, ; etc, but you’re not now. Praise God we have a Savior who loved us so much that he would accept our penalty and would go to the cross for us.
