EASOP BIOGRAPHY

The "Tupac" of his genre. This is how both fans and peers have described Easop. While that is a bold statement given the legend and influence of the late Tupac Shakur, one listen to the sound of Easop's voice, mixed with his style and delivery you'll understand why. His baritone voice and aggressive, captivating style has carved out a unique sound like his GOD given name. Easop is a man of faith, and it clearly comes across in his music. He doesn't rap about life's excesses, bling, money, or women, but rather shares his faith, views on life mixed with street realities, which blend perfectly to produce what Easop likes to call "Street Gospel"

Born in his native San Francisco and raised by his great aunt Easop had a modest upbringing. Easop grew up in the inner city where like most young men who come up in this environment was exposed to the lure of drugs, gangs, and exposed to violence. He managed to escape most of these pitfalls for the most part by participating in athletics, but as he grew older the pull became a lot stronger resulting in him selling drugs and carrying guns. But there was a much greater call in this young mans life and he answered the call before it was too late unlike so many other young men.

Easop has always had a passion for music. His influences are artist from all genres of music including rap, pop, blues, rock, soul, etc. So he would blend this passion with his new found faith and start an independent record label called Life or Death Records in 1997. Easop immediately saw the impact his music had on youth and young adults and would release his first album "The Time Has Come" in the fall 0f 2000. Easop show's his diversity with tracks such as, "Somebody Loves You" to the albums single, "Out Tha Box". "Somebody Loves You", details the story of a young man who felt no one loved him, while, "Out Tha Box" is an in your face introduction to who Easop is. The follow up to this album would be a group project he was a part of called "The END". Easop has earned the respect of many for his brand of music and has been called a pioneer in the Bay Area in his genre of music. He also was one of the first artist to receive an award at the annual Holy Hip-Hop Music Awards held every year in Atlanta in 2001 for his work in music.

Easop has appeared on local, regional, and syndicated radio shows across the country. He has amassed a following from his music, music videos, and touring from the east to west coast and even internationally in the UK. A writer from the San Francisco Examiner newspaper found his company and music so interesting that Easop was featured on the front page of the bay area section of the newspaper. Major League baseball player Ryan Freel who plays for the Chicago Cubs also became a fan of Easop upon hearing his music and selected Easop's "Out Tha Box" song as his at-bat theme song when he comes to the plate in the 2009 baseball season. Easop sees himself as not only an artist but also a businessman. His vision is for his company LOD Music to be a leader and brand you can remember when it comes to urban gospel for years and generations to come. In the words of Easop, "I'm just getting started".
