A desperado means different things to different people. I define a desperado as someone who is ready to do just anything, even against conscience, just to achieve his or her ambition. Desperadoes want success at all cost; they careless about the right process of achieving success. They can steal, prostitute themselves, push drugs, tell lies, cheat, commit crimes, stoop lower than expected, etc, just to achieve their ambitions.
What is wrong with this attitude?
Just everything, but due to time constrain, I will focus on one problem associated with this lifestyle.
i) It deprives one of positive influence on others: People are not inspired because of the achievements of an individual, but by the principles behind the success story of an individual, which can be emulated by others in the process of obtaining their own success.
When we do just anything to achieve success, we may achieve what we want, but ultimately fail to inspire others positively. There is no greater satisfaction like achieving set goals within the parameter of right principles. This permits an individual to openly share his or her story with others without falsifying facts.
Few people are conscious of the importance of leaving a positive legacy worthy of admiration, which can inspire present and future generations. This is what true greatness is about; living for posterity and eternity.
People, who do negative things to achieve success, can't be bold to share their stories with others without falsifying facts. It's better to enjoy little with good conscience than much with a tainted conscience.
Don't be a desperado, "tough times never last, but tough people do." Take your time, do the right things, and patiently wait for your time in life. Everyone has his or her time in life to achieve success. Don't be too hungry to sell your birthright! Wait for your own time and work towards it. It will surely come, it will not tarry.
"For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it, because it will surely come, it will not tarry." Hab 2:3b
Ponder on this information. Cheers! Dr.Etta
