I NEED YOUR HELP!
Our Network Member Sheila Hampton's husband Grant Hampton needs our help with finding a living kidney donor. Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) has dramatically affected his life since February 2019, when he was diagnosed. More than half of his life has been dedicated to serving the public at large as a former Police Officer (MPDC), U.S. Navy (Ret.) and the U.S. Federal Government (Ret.). He was forced to terminate his professional career when diagnosed with this dreaded disease due to associated constant fatigue, increased high blood pressure, multiple medications, and multiple medical appointments. Once he receives a new kidney, he plans to spend more time traveling to visit his granddaughters, who are 3 and 7 years old, as well as his two grandsons who are 4 and 8 years old. His desire is to be able to see them grow and witness their many milestones in life. They are his greatest joy. For them to be able to see their grandfather run in the park or simply attend a school function would mean the world to each of them. Since his diagnosis, he has missed so many big events that he is unable to get back but with the help of a donor, he will be able to make up for lost time and pick up where I left off.
