It's not too bad there is a tiny bit of latency depending on how fussy you are you might not be able to pull focus that way but otherwise, you would just take a normal monitor up to it and another thing is you can actually see the back of the screen because they've got the motor on a 45 degree angle so maybe you don't even need a monitor at all so setting up a motion time-lapse is really easy once you get your camera connected up to it you clicked the little camera top left and then go to moving time-lapse then you're gonna set your first starting point so you are going to pan the over here you are gonna hit the plus button then you are gonna fan the camera where you  want it to end and then you hit the next point and then when you are done you'll hit next and then go into your time intervals and your duration and then hit start it'll position the camera back to the start.

Zhiyun Weebill LAB Gimbal Stabilizer comes with a few other different things like the servo motor you transmit a tripod the transmat holder for the cell phone as well as a belt that you can actually wear and mount your monopod off that belt and kind of do like jib type movements so this gimbal does have a wheel on the side so you can do follow focus or use it as a zoom function as well can't do them both at the same time but I found that the autofocus is so good on these cameras now that you could just use it as a zoom feature and then you could do cool things like the dolly zoom effect or even just zooming in and out whenever you want to get that's basically it this gimbal is are really well made, the design of it takes two batteries they last about six hours. It is perfect for you to take out for travel.

It's really cool as they've designed these quarter-twenty mount quick-release connectors that you can quickly take the tripod off the bottom and stick it to the top and you could probably use these for anything even like monitors and things like that if you want to pop them on and off a few things.

Metal and you know when you get kind of lighter when it comes to stabilization. It's not quite as stable versus something heavier but the nice thing is it does a really good job and it's made for smaller lighter cameras it's just really easy to set up. Except for the quick-release plate that's also on another quick-release plate so this plate just walks into the other plate and you can just take this off disconnect the USB cable but the motor and everything will stay on this little a smaller release plate. You can just click it in here when you're done.

If you want to click it back in you just lock it down boom so the layout on. Zhiyun Weebill LAB is a little bit different than some of the other gimbals right now, if you want to go into follow mode you have to push in the trigger on the front and then go into follow mode than on the side you can switch down to L which is lock mode which means the gimbal will just keep the camera in the same spot then you can click POV which puts it into a follow mode which follows the roll axis as well or you can put it into V which is kind of like the vortex mode which you can do those cool vortex shots or the inception mode.

There's a new firmware and you can triple-click the LV button and it'll actually lock out all the buttons in case you click them by accident,  you should just triple-click again and then you can resume using your buttons one of the new features that Zhiyun is putting into there gimbals is the wireless image transmission this one doesn't have HDMI but you can still do it through the USB with different cameras with the Sony it works and basically plug USB into the camera and then plug the USB into the back of the gimbal here and it will transmit your image to your phones through its own Wi-Fi connection and from there you can actually change your camera settings and the gimbal settings and everything just off your phone.

Getting started to use Zhiyun Smooth Q you just need to slot your mobile phone. The follow mode will lock the camera in that position which is very handy sin you hand moves around it keeps the camera in that same position so if you can see your hands moving their left and right the mobile phone is still pointing straight ahead. It works perfectly fine the same exact stabilization and the modes of this is the smooth Q the new model 450 grams remember it does have a larger battery in there and then the old model which is three hand and 96 grams so the newer one it's 50 grams more heavy but because it has that extra battery in there that it's a worthwhile trade-off there. This mode actually faces in that same direction allows you to do some interesting shots.

The smooth Q it's a new mobile gimbal from ZHIYUN, this is a decent gimbal. So this one apparently the improved version now will give us up to 11 hours of battery life and that battery pack and it can actually be doubled up to be used as a portable power pack charging a mobile phone you can also attach accessories now so that means you can put on an external microphone and you can also put on those means attachments and things like that it also works in portrait mode. It have a little strap that must be just for the case there, so you can sling that over your shoulder of course and carry it around with you without need of a backpack other accessories it has a micro USB cable okay so that's nicely packaged and you can see that it's got a form to it so that should give it pretty good protection enough now you can feel definitely lighter but it looks a little bit more elasticy.

It has the typical joystick there you can see so different modes on here now this one here is for the application as your focus controls for that and recording with the applications adds a power on you can turn that on your different modes and of course then the joystick there for your pad and tilt on lived here there's a micro USB and that's to charge it obviously and down the bottom there's a quarter inch thread so you can connect this up to a tripod just turn this around and you see here is a full-size USB that will be to charge your devices when you use this like a battery pack now here's the last gettin gimbal which you can see doesn't come with a hard case which was a slight annoyance. But this one has the removable battery so you always have to put the batteries into the base of this bit quality-wise.

This is all mostly all-metal apart from you could say the joystick gear that's plastic and we still have the thread on the bottom because battery capacity wise this one is just so much larger they're 11 hours or 12 hours it is versus around 3 to 4 on this one and you can see this one also you need to screw on a counterweight onto the end of this. From the prospective of product, it is easy to make product large but hard to make it small, because we must smaller each component while ensure its performance. On the contrary it improves in its battery run time, because we didn’t use the 18650 lithium battery, but use the 21700 high rate lithium battery.
