The 2013 Christian Writer's Literary Festival (http://christianwritersliteraryfestival.blogspot.com) is a day-long event for Christian book lovers of all ages. From story time for little readers to panel discussions for adult readers, the day is packed with interesting dialogue and discussion about a variety of Christian books. Aspiring and seasoned Christian authors will enjoy the fellowship and the opportunity to learn from their peers. Attendees also have the opportunity to drop-off "NEW" personal hygiene items for distribution to homeless women and men at the Karis Home and Baltimore Rescue Mission. Gospel recording artist, Nicois, will facilitate a Christian songwriter's workshop.

Will YOU or your Organization/office consider partnering with us this fall in our upcoming coat drive? Save-Us-Now, Inc., needs your help collecting NEW, CLEAN, and GENTLY-USED winter coats & accessories especially for Men, but for Women & Children too.

Just last Friday, November 15th we gave out HUNDREDS of coats during our 2nd Annual “Warm Winter Coats Give-A-Way” to people, and we didn't even make a dent, and had to turn many people away. And that just broke our hearts. Friends, the need is great especially with the temperatures dropping!  So we decided to gear-up to do another "Warm Winter Coat Drive" which will start on November 21st thru December 13th. The Northeast Performing Arts Group

is hosting a Gospel Explosion Fund Raiser to keep the doors open

You are cordially invited to attend the Northeast Performing Arts Group’s (NEPAG)
2013 Dynamic Gospel Explosion fundraiser, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium, located at 3950 Chesapeake Street, N.W.

The Dynamic Gospel Explosion is not a competition, but an evening of praise and worship. This annual event is the brainchild of NEPAG executive director, Rita Jackson, and is celebrated in partnership with the District’s faith-based community and will showcase some of the best gospel artists and liturgical dance ministries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. 

The proceeds from this year's fundraiser will be used to augment funding for NEPAG's year-round performing arts and academic-related programs for at-risk District youth, with an emphasis on wards east of the river.

The auditorium doors will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, and the show will start promptly at 6:00 p.m.
