We are proud to announce the First Annual Gospel Bowl in Fresno California, on New Year’s Day January 1^st 2014. Central Valley Pastors, along with Fresno Pastor Jerome Jackson, PHD, Fresno State University, as our Quarterback, will come together for one of the most exciting events of the year. Ashford Sanders, a finalist on BET© Gospel competition “Sunday Best”, will provide the Half Time Show!.

Current and Former NFL Players will share their testimonies on their faith on and off the field. This Event has been very successful in various major U.S. cities, and we are excited for its debut in The San Joaquin Valley. Taking place at the historic Veterans’ Memorial Theater in Fresno, California, this event is the first of its kind in Fresno’s History.

The Gospel Bowl Fresno will benefit local college students with scholarships, Fresno’s youth with delinquency prevention and rehabilitation programs, including but not limited to The Boys and Girls Clubs, Edison Babe Ruth League, Give a Kid a

Typhoon Haiyan, known as Typhoon Yolanda in the Philippines, was an exceptionally powerful force that devastated portions of Southeast Asia, particularly the Philippines the early part of November 2013.  It is the deadliest Philippine typhoon on record, taking the lives of over 5,000 people in that country alone. 

Naomi McIlwain, a freshman student at Bowie State University decided to address the devastation inflicted on a nation and a people by bringing some of her music, spoken word and dance friends together to do what they do best, sing and dance to the glory of our Lord, and give compassionate support to a part of the world that most have never visited before.

The 2013 Christian Writer's Literary Festival (http://christianwritersliteraryfestival.blogspot.com) is a day-long event for Christian book lovers of all ages. From story time for little readers to panel discussions for adult readers, the day is packed with interesting dialogue and discussion about a variety of Christian books. Aspiring and seasoned Christian authors will enjoy the fellowship and the opportunity to learn from their peers. Attendees also have the opportunity to drop-off "NEW" personal hygiene items for distribution to homeless women and men at the Karis Home and Baltimore Rescue Mission. Gospel recording artist, Nicois, will facilitate a Christian songwriter's workshop.

Just last Friday, November 15th we gave out HUNDREDS of coats during our 2nd Annual “Warm Winter Coats Give-A-Way” to people, and we didn't even make a dent, and had to turn many people away. And that just broke our hearts. Friends, the need is great especially with the temperatures dropping!  So we decided to gear-up to do another "Warm Winter Coat Drive" which will start on November 21st thru December 13th. is hosting a Gospel Explosion Fund Raiser to keep the doors open

You are cordially invited to attend the Northeast Performing Arts Group’s (NEPAG)
2013 Dynamic Gospel Explosion fundraiser, on Saturday, December 7, 2013, at the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium, located at 3950 Chesapeake Street, N.W.

The Dynamic Gospel Explosion is not a competition, but an evening of praise and worship. This annual event is the brainchild of NEPAG executive director, Rita Jackson, and is celebrated in partnership with the District’s faith-based community and will showcase some of the best gospel artists and liturgical dance ministries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. 

The proceeds from this year's fundraiser will be used to augment funding for NEPAG's year-round performing arts and academic-related programs for at-risk District youth, with an emphasis on wards east of the river.

The auditorium doors will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, and the show will start promptly at 6:00 p.m. 

Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door on the day of the
