LaTasha Ward, mother of one daughter, a business owner, public servant, community advocate and political strategist. LaTasha was born in the District of Columbia and was raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland where she currently resides, in Bowie, Maryland in the Holmehurst Community.

LaTasha is a product of Prince Georges County Public Schools System; she attended John Carroll Elementary, Happy Acres Elementary, Mary McLeod Bethune Junior High and she is a graduate of Fairmont Heights High School, where she developed leadership and teamwork skills as she led her Basketball Team to the school's first girl's Maryland state championship in 1984.

LaTasha chose a path to work with the at-risk population. She began as a counselor working for Eckerd Youth Challenge Program in 1993 located in Doncaster, Maryland. Within a year she was hired as a Unit Manager at Thomas O' Farrell Youth Program 1994 in Marriottsville, Maryland; and was later a
