FOUNDER/CEO
Lloyd Williams grew up in Queens, NY. He attended the Garden State Academy, where he graduated from in 1990. Upon graduating, Williams went on to Oakwood University majoring in Pre-Med. He later studied and became an E.M.T at the Mary Immaculate Emergency Service Institute.
Williams has been a member of the Linden Seventh-Day Adventist Church, where he met David Foster of Multiphase Sound. This relationship afforded Williams extensive training and experience in Sound reinforcement and engineering at the early age of 16 which helped him to acquire the position- head of A/V department, for a number of years at the Linden Seventh-Day Adventist Church. He has also worked as an audio engineer and tech. support with the communications department at The Greater Allen Cathedral, as well as the world’s famous Sylvia’s Restaurant in Harlem NY.
Williams obtained his first gospel music industry experience through a partnership with a company called Creative Kick Productions (Robin White), where he gained experience in production management, artist development, Artist Management and touring. This aided him in his management roll of Kimberly Palmer Washington in 2004. He was later afforded an opportunity in the main stream music Industry when he was offered a position at “Sample My Melodies”. There, he worked closely with several multi-platinum selling producers, including Roget Romain and the Infamous Red Spyder, as an engineer and Asset manager.
Lloyd later worked with the New Life Christian Book Store and its Premiere Venue- The New Life Underground. Here, he was the Sound Engineer and Artist Liaison, working with the likes of Cece Winans, Mary Mary, Smokie Norful, Israel Houghton, Timothy Wright, Donnie McClurkin, just to name a few.
In 2011 Lloyd Williams acquired the roll as manager for Gospel Jazz Artist Petula Beckles, and is a partner at Alutep Music & Media; owned by Petula Beckles, who is also considered among her industry peers, a gospel trailblazer and prolific songwriter and singer in her own right. As a partner, Williams became privy to an invaluable gospel music industry experience and began honing his skills in artist relations & promotions.
Williams’ artist relation and promotional abilities combined with his own work as a Sound Engineer distinguish him as an industry professional who understands the music industry from multiple angles. To make full use of his unique background, Williams Established his company Viceroy Entertainment in early 2012, and launched the Petula Beckles “My Song of Jesus Tour” with which he traveled across the U.S.
With his unique industry experience and a rising “1-2 PUNCH”, Lloyd Williams and Viceroy Entertainment are surely destined to be a major force in the faith based and mainstream entertainment industry.
