The Deaf Ministry Fellowship, a.k.a. DMF has been called as a Christian-promoted, biblically lead and ministry-chosen organization  for serving deaf/hard of hearing community/clientele ministries through the fellowship and strengthening our “innermost” being.

The DMF will assume leadership role or play as a catalyst between the Metro DC (corporate) church members and the deaf/hard of hearing community in order to promote cultural, ethnic and spiritual awareness and exchange our perspectives.  Therefore, this effort is to bridge the communication gap through some uses of interpretive, assistive communication, visual aids and closed captioning modes.

“OPERATION”

The DMF will consist of several officers to maintain this organization objectives, apply priniciple(s) and practice(s) as pursuant to the above purpose.  The candidates representing the Metro Washington DC area churches housing deaf ministries are encouraged to hold the offices of Chairperson/CEO, Vice-Chairperson, Treasurer/CFO and Recording Secretary/Electronic Notetaker.  Each should be able to run on a one-year rotational basis.  The ASL church interpreters are as well encouraged to be part of, and take part in this organization as desired.
