The Delaware Warriors Travel Baseball Club is a non-profit/ public charity agency based in Dover, Delaware serving unprivileged youth in the Kent county community with an opportunity to learn and understand the game of baseball and compete against competition at high level throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

Delaware Warriors, a Continental Amateur Baseball Association and Tri –State Elite registered team is seeking the support of our community. The support of others will help cover the cost for purchasing equipment, uniforms, travel expenses, and league/tournament fees, which alone are $900.00 dollars. Our goal is to provide sports fitness and public awareness to the youth in the local community on the fundamentals of baseball in hopes of providing each of these kids an opportunity ultimately to play in the Little League World Series and beyond.

The players that are selected for this team will based on the following criteria: fitness and athletic ability, baseball knowledge, age eligibility, competitive ability, technical competence, tactical nous, sportsmanship, team and squad orientation-ability to “fit in.”

The main goal of our organization will be to help offer enriching activities and a safe haven for underserved youth after school.

The Delaware Warriors Baseball Youth Academy’s mission is to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball and provide after school educational programs for children in the Kent, New Castle and Sussex county areas. Our leadership officials and Board of Directors are working diligently to secure adequate land/building in the local area for the academy‘s ability to operate successfully. “We believe our shared vision and commitment to the youth in our communities will enable us to create a world class facility that will inspire and educate our area children, while fostering the love of baseball and softball across our state“, I would say as the president and the head coach of the Delaware Warriors Baseball Club, I believe our shared vision and commitment to the youth commented Al Tunnell, President and Head Coach, Delaware Warriors Baseball Club.

This will truly be an opportunity to elevate youth baseball in Kent, New Castle, and Sussex counties by establishing the Youth Baseball Academy. Not only will the Academy expose children and youth to the sport itself but there are so many ancillary opportunities as well; such as instruction in sports journalism, broadcasting ,umpiring, scorekeeping , sports medicine, weight training, and life skills--all stimulated through the Delaware Warriors Baseball.
