Singer, songwriter, composer Cynthia Jones has built a well known reputation recognized by her eye-catching oversized auburn fro as Gospel’s Lady of Soul. She is a Grammy and three times Stellar Award nominee, and is signed to major label Kingdom Records, home of the certified gold Praise and Worship choir, Shekinah Glory Ministry.

Cynthia has toured and shared the stage with some of the most acclaimed gospel artists, on Radio One’s “One Love Cruise”, The "Hero Tour" featuring Kirk Franklin, "The One Church Tour" featuring Smokie Norful, the "Night of Praise and Worship " featuring Fred Hammond and Martha Munizzi and an array of others.

She has recorded three CD’s, and her current CD “Gotta Soul” successfully rose to # 44 on the top 100 Radio & Records BDS Charts during the first week of release. The CD was described as one of the Top 10 neo-soul albums ever heard in the history of that style of music,” says Bob Davis of soul-patrol.com.

Her message and music extends beyond the church walls, ministering to neo-soul music lovers from all walks of life and gracing the pages of the popular secular magazine Sister 2 Sister. She has appeared on BET’s Bobby Jones Gospel Show, TBN’s Dino Show, and is internationally recognized.

Cynthia resides in Raleigh, NC and is an active member of the Upper Room Church of God in Christ under the leadership of Superintendent Patrick L. Wooden Sr.

She is currently completing her new CD scheduled to release in 2011.
