The Federal City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. (FCAC DST) and The Federal City Public Service Foundation are pleased to announce our Ninth Annual Stomp D.A.T.SM (Drugs, Alcohol, Tobacco) Youth Step Show. This year’s show, themed “Stomping at the Drug Free Zone,” is being held on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 4pm at Howard University’s Cramton Auditorium (2455 Sixth Street, NW, Washington, DC 20059. Cramton Auditorium is accessible by the Metrorail Green Line, Shaw – Howard University Station or by Metrobus 70, 90, 92 and G2 routes).

STOMP D.A.T. SM, which is the largest youth step show in the DC area, had over 1200 in attendance last year.  It  provides an opportunity for youth to showcase their talents while voicing a powerful message, SAYING NO TO DRUGS, ALCOHOL, and TOBACCO. The competition features nine step teams from the DC/MD/VA metro area, consisting of middle and high school aged youth.  Teams come from schools, churches, community groups, and independent step teams to compete for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ranking along with cash prizes and trophies.

This year’s competition features a judging panel consisting of members from the nine National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) organizations and the Washington DC community. All attendees and participants of Stomp D.A.T. receive literature regarding the dangers of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. Tickets are available for purchase through TicketMaster. Seating is limited so advanced purchase is recommended. Proceeds from this event benefit FCAC DST’s ongoing public service and scholarship programs.
