The Allstate Gospel Superfest TV production heads to Baltimore, MD for next show!

Gospel Headliners, Hollywood Stars, head to HBCU Morgan State Campus for national TV recording session!

Allstate Insurance returns for “third” year as title sponsor!

Baltimore, MD: The Allstate Insurance Company returns for the third consecutive year as title sponsor for The Allstate Gospel Superfest. United Television, the show’s producer unveils a portion of its “super” line-up for its upcoming TV taping to be held on Friday and Saturday, February 4th & 5th, 2011. The show officially moves to the city of Baltimore, MD and will be taped at the historic HBCU campus of Morgan State University.  The Murphy Fine Arts Center will house one of the nation’s top TV productions this coming February!  Its two nights, one celebration and a whole lot of praise!

The show is returning to its two-day recording format to accommodate some forty plus national recording artists that will represent a who’s who in the gospel and secular music fields. Tentatively scheduled to appear are world renowned artists, Richard Smallwood, Tye Tribbett, Shirley Murdock, Hezekiah Walker, Jonathan Nelson, Beverly Crawford, Lisa Page Brooks, JJ Hairston, The Williams Brothers, Patrick Lundy and Ministers of Music, Shekinah Glory, Phil Traver, VaShawn Mitchell, Earnest Pugh, The Soul Messengerz, The Ford Memorial Choir, Keith Wonderboy Johnson, The Pastor’s Gloryland Choir of Arkansas with many more top artists to be announced in the coming weeks. Hosting the recording is actress-film star, Wendy Raquel Robinson from the BET hit show ‘The Game.” and “The Steve Harvey Show”  Steve Angus is slated to direct, and Emmy Award winning production designer Rene Lagler will return to design the set for the seventh consecutive year.  The show is executive produced by show founder Bobby Cartwright, Jr. of Cincinnati, OH.

 

The Gospel Superfest production is approaching its eleventh consecutive year in TV syndication. The shows from Morgan State will be seen by over 500 million TV households worldwide. “It’s always been about the praise and the celebration with us, and we know the Baltimore, Washington, DC areas will have a great time at the tapings this year,” says Bobby Cartwright, Jr., who is also the show’s founder.
