MISSION:
Cheryl Nembhard (Co Founder of Exousia Media Group, Writer/Director of My Brothers Keeper, The Ultimate Sacrifice) and a small EMG team will be embarking on a front lines Missions Trip to Uganda & Northern Kenya on March 7th-29th. Their missions focus will be Women & Children.
1st Leg: Volunteer with Alice Achan who is rehabilitating, educating and reintegrating young women and children who are either victims of,or children of rape at the hands of the Lord's Resistance Army. These young girls where forced to be "Child Brides", held hostage as sex slaves , tortured and made to be child soldiers. The team will be lodging, counselling & working with these courageous women and children.
2nd leg: Visit Acholi Quarter; an IDP camp where over 11,000 people have been displaced by the war
3rd leg: Remote region called Turkana where UNICEF has declared it a Child Famine Zone. The team will be travelling with backpacks filled with supplies to minister to them.
