New Beginnings Community Church presents Monthly Mentoring Men Study Series
New Study Announcement: “A Man’s Place In God’s Plan”
Many churches suffer from a lack of men in leadership, even men in attendance. Therefore, I am committed to reaching and discipling men to demonstrate progressive spiritual growth (1 Timothy 4:15).
In 2 Timothy 2:1-2 the Apostle Paul put it this way to Timothy, his mentee in the ministry, “You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”
This is my heart and my passion. I want to entrust to faithful men the basics of the Christian faith and impart it so that they can pass it on to another man.
Thus, this Monthly Mentoring Men Study Series will encourage and equip men to grow in Christ through a practical process. This study - “A Man’s Place In God’s Plan” - will be eight months. And certificates of completion will be awarded to those who attend, at least, six (6) of the eight (8) sessions. Special recognition will be noted for those who attend all eight (8) sessions.
During the first session, Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 7:30 pm, we will begin to study and discuss God’s interactions with various men in the Bible and their interactions with one another. Some of the men are examples of godly living. Others aren’t pleasant because they reveal the consequences of men’s failures. However, all of them are in the Bible to inspire, teach, warn, and illustrate how to live – and not to live. And since Genesis is the “Book of Beginnings,” we will start by reviewing the life of Abraham in chapters 12-22, and discover a new perspective in walking with God.
