Come Join HERLIFE DC METRO Magazine for the January 2015 Edition Unveiling at The City Club of Washington Hosted by our Network own Renee "Starlyn" Allen !!! The City Club of Washington located on 555 13th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20004, Wed. Jan. 7, 2015 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. 

HERLIFE DC METRO Magazine is a full color print publication with the mission of “Keeping Women Connected” each month our magazines are dedicated to the celebration of all that is exceptional in our communities.

This will be a free event that will be nightly starting at 7pm and doors open at 6pm. So please come early!!!

Plus music provided nightly by choirs from Greater Mt. Calvary Holy Church (GMCHC) & First Baptist Church of Glenarden (FBCG).

Save Us Now Inc. is a 501(c) 3 non-profit community service organization whose mission is to encourage, inspire, motivate, and empower people. We work to help the under-served, disenfranchised, and marginalized individuals that don’t always meet the requirements of traditional human service and community service organizations.

The beautiful St John's church in Westminster hosts its annual Christmas series, which is always deservedly popular. Choral highlights this year include festive concerts by the City Of London Choir, the Parliament Choir, the Tallis Scholars and the Tenebrae Consort, and of course the closing performance of Handel's 'Messiah' by Polyphony and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment: a tradition that turns 20 years old in 2014.

On Saturday, December 20, 2014, the Northeast Performing Arts Group (NEPAG) will host the 2014 Dynamic Gospel Explosion fundraiser at the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium, located at 3950 Chesapeake Street, N.W.

The Dynamic Gospel Explosion is not a competition, but an evening of praise and worship. This annual event is the brainchild of NEPAG executive director, Rita Jackson, and is celebrated in partnership with the District’s faith-based community and will showcase some of the best gospel artists and liturgical dance ministries in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. 

The NEPAG is celebrating 35 years in service to the arts and is a nationally known 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of youth through exposure to the performing arts. The NEPAG has received the “As They Grow Award of Excellence”, the “Good Housekeeping Seal” from Parents Magazine; presented at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on the Anniversary of the Center for N

Set more than 2,000 years ago, this free musical extravaganza captures the birth of Christ and brings the town of Bethlehem to life! The story of God’s redeeming love is told through comedy, dance and pulsating songs. Now in its sixth season, The Uncut Coming of Christ has become a family holiday tradition and continues to add new twists each year.

Visitors to the FBCG Worship Center are transported through time upon entering the Great Halls, which have been transformed into the Bethlehem marketplace. Be sure to arrive one hour before the play to experience all the sights, sounds and smells.

Have you ever wondered what life was like back then? Ever been curious about what the people wore or what they ate? You’ll find out during the fabulous pre-show production! Shepherds, Roman soldiers and regular townspeople will serve as your guide through the “city streets,” where you’ll see animals, vendors, wares and much more.

Please invite your friends and family to our upcoming plated fund raising dinner and entertainment  for the homeless on December 14, 2014 from 6:00pm-8:00pm . The event will be held at  Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church at7700 Carroll Avenue Takoma Park, MD 20912 . This is to help women and children in transition or dealing with homelessness, Domestic violence, addictions, abuse, and incarceration.
We will be operating a Winter Haven Hypothermia overnight shelter at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church for women and children. We will receive referrals from Montgomery County Crisis Center beginning January 1, 2015 through February 28, 2015, from 7pm-7am , and perhaps longer. We will be providing 10-15 beds , depend on the changes in temperature more beds may be needed as temperatures drop. 

We will provide services for the women and children in transition, who need  food, clothing, toiletry, winter items, bedding items, gift cards and to open up a facility to provide housing for o
