The youngest daughter of pioneering gospel choral director Mattie Moss Clark, Sheard began her career as a member of the Grammy-Award winning, gospel legendary female group, The Clark Sisters. She is the mother of contemporary gospel singer and actress Kierra "Kiki" Sheard.

     

    During the hiatus of the Clark Sisters, Sheard rose to fame after she recorded her critically acclaimed and much anticipated solo album Finally Karen, which spawned her hit, "Balm in Gilead" (a re-recording  6175360928_1d2e3bf11a_z.jpgof a song she originally recorded as part of The Clark Sisters back in the 1980s for their Heart & Soul album) the R&B-flavored "Just For Me" and "Nothing Without You" - a contemporary duet with R&B diva Faith Evans. Finally Karen became one of the most successful gospel albums of 1998 earning Sheard a Grammy nomination and earning her a Soul Train L

    Attention 1st – 5th Grade Students

    The Children’s Ministry has some very exciting news!

    To celebrate Mountain’s exciting sermon series for November, 1st-5th graders have been invited to sing on stage during all services at both campuses on Sunday, November 13.

    We would love for you to be a part of the team! 

    Two Rehearsals:
    • Sunday, October 30 from 4:45-5:30 pm in Cook Auditorium
    • Sunday, November 6 from 4:45-5:30 pm in Cook Auditorium

    The first rehearsal is short notice so if you can make it GREAT. If not, please plan to attend on November 6. 

    More details are coming, but for now we need you to do a couple of things:

    1. Understand the commitment:

        a. Two rehearsals, but the second one is the highest priority. Plan on being at church all services on Sunday, November 13 at whichever campus you normally attend.

        b. Parents we need your help that morning. Please plan to stay with your child between services and assist us with getting the children back into the children’s programming
