January 12, 2010 Haiti gets struck with a 7.0 magnitude earthquake taking nearly 400,000 lives. Today in 2011 almost two years later people go on living. Have we as Christians already forgotten? Last year we were able to be a part of a festival in Port-Au-Prince and this year we have discovered that people are still hurting and all the more in need without lost loved ones.

This year we are planning another festival right in the heart of Port-Au-Prince. We will be taking two bands with us Rachelle Hope and True Emotion along with professional BMX Rider Jon Greer. 

We are expecting many unsaved to come each night as we present the Gospel. We are excited for the great things that we know God is going to do through our team.

Now celebrating its twenty-first year, First Night Raleigh is eastern North Carolina's largest New Year's Eve celebration. Tens of thousands of people flock to downtown Raleigh each December 31 for the family-friendly community celebration of art.

First Night Raleigh 2012 will take place on Saturday, December 31, 2011 from 2:00 pm until Midnight. Festival venues are located across approximately 20 blocks of downtown Raleigh, from the Museums of History and Natural Sciences at the North to the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts at the South and from Edenton Street United Methodist Church at the West to Marbles Kids Museum and the Long View Center at the East. 

Admission to First Night Raleigh activities and performances is by First Night admission button. The button, which participants wear, is the pass to access all First Night venues. Passes go on sale from December 1st for $9 at area Harris Teeter grocery stores, Rite Aid Pharmacy locations and select retailers.

FBCG’s Military Care Ministry (MCM) is partnering
with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development to donate NEW shoes and boots to our
homeless men and women veterans.

If your looking for an outreach, look no further! Help MCM to fill the box located at the Ministry Center (MC). We also have tables at the Worship Center (WC) after each service for donation pick-up. Please donate a brand new pair of shoes or boots Nov. 15, 2011 to Jan. 12, 2012. All sizes are needed for both men and women!
