God Belongs In My City - The Movement:

In October of 2009, a youth group passionate for God in New York City saw an Atheist Advertisement campaign in their subway system which stated, “A Million New Yorkers Are Good Without God. Are You?”.  They were so stirred up by this, that they went to their Youth Pastor who then went to his network of Pastors/leaders to ask, “What are we, as the body of Christ going to do about this?”.  They prayed and decided to take action and have Ministries from all around the 5 boroughs hold a prayer walk wearing a simple T-shirt which stated “God Belongs in My City”.  Since that day, 8 cities have joined the movement, claiming God in their area, praying for their community, and making God's presence known. 

On April 14, 2012, Fayetteville, NC is calling God's people to rise up and unify THE body of Christ and join in prayer and faith & proclaim that God truly does belong in our city!

There's an ongoing war within urban culture. Confusion over what manhood is has plagued our cities, families and lives. The concept of a biblical man has been lost in our generation. Unfortunately, many churches struggle to provide its urban members, much less those beyond their walls, with a tangible definition of a real man.

THE CAMPAIGN
ReachLife Ministries in partnership with Reach Records, Man Up is a new campaign, calling men in the hip-hop culture to true biblical manhood through repentance and faith in Christ. It is our call for men in urban culture to repent for their failure to become the men that God has created them to be and for believers to live as who they truly are in Christ.

Last year, this campaign included a Man Up CD, a movie, and curriculum. This year, we are adding a new element to the campaign - a two-day conference event!
