Writing Momma Publishing, LLC will be holding auditions for our inaugural production, The Grammar Girls LIVE!, on January 8 and 15, 2012 in Washington, DC.  Email head shot and résumé to casting4aag@gmail.com for an appointment.

This one hour stage play will take place on March 2, 2013 in Clinton, MD.

The Grammar Girls LIVE! tells the story of a little girl who is worried about taking her school’s state test.  Krissy, who is in the third grade, will take the test for the first time.  While she is very strong in Math, Reading and Writing has been a challenge for her.  It’s not until she meets four girls who teach her very simple strategies to help her build confidence in acing the test.

All actors must be 19 to 22 years old and range between 5’5” – 5’8”.  This stage play is for non-union actors only.

Open roles include:

GWENDOLYN – African American female – mid-sized to full figure blues singer with a sassy, yet classy, flair and a great smile (great singing voice helpful)

The Story Tour will be a celebration of the Christmas season, featuring your favorite Christmas songs as well as a presenting a theatrical journey from Genesis to Revelation!

It all began with two award-winning authors. Randy Frazee, who is senior minister at Oak Hills Church in San Antonio, and Max Lucado, who has more than 100 million products in print, partnered with Zondervan publishing company to create The Story.

Wanting to make Bible stories more accessible and encouraging others to engage in the Bible, they wrote The Story, which contains 31 chapters (stories) from the Bible told as one seamless story from beginning to end.  Additionally, Frazee and Lucado penned new books built around these 31 key stories from the Bible providing further insight into the characters.  With these resources as a foundation, Dove Award-winning artist Nichole Nordeman and Dove Award-winning producer Bernie Herms teamed up to give those same timeless stories a modern musical voice.

Grassington is transported back to the time of Charles Dickens. See the Christmas lights, the village square and the streets transformed into a traditional market with shopkeepers, villagers and visitors dressed in Victorian costume. Enjoy the musicians, dancers, street entertainers and exhibitions of traditional country crafts.

Between the 16th and 18th of December Grassington Town Square will also host an Ice Rink.

The Ice Rink will be open from 2-9pm on Friday 16th December, 11am - 9pm on Saturday 17th December and 11am to 6pm on Sunday 18th December.
