About The Christian Business Institute

The Christian Business Institute or CBI is a ministry in First Baptist Church of Glenarden.  The ministry is dedicated to helping individuals learn to conduct an ethical Christian Business that is financially sound and based on biblical principles.  The mission is to foster opportunities for businesses that will enable them to network and provide economic growth with an emphasis on four core components: Training and Education, Business Expo, Business Directory, and Public Relations.  Networking is highly encouraged.

Meetings are held the 2nd Friday of every month, 7-9 pm at the Worship Center of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden at 600 Watkins Park Drive, Upper Marlboro, MD.

The 2016 Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour is back for the 10th year and will feature every genre within the gospel music industry: contemporary, traditional, inspirational, instrumental, hip-hop, and comedy. Acclaimed comedian, Small Fire will provide entertainment for the entire family and community to enjoy.

This tour continues to deliver strong evidence that consumers view McDonald’s as being connected to the African-American community and will continue to offer not only a free concert, but also a great family experience with entertainment that is positive, uplifting and inspirational.

While on a missions trip to Mexico in 1998, God grabbed hold of LifeLight founder Alan Greene’s heart, and challenged him to take church outside the walls of the traditional building. Upon returning, the festival had its inaugural event on a church lawn, seeing 2,000 people in attendance. Since then, the festival has grown to see over 300,000 across the three days they run! The best part? The festival is completely FREE to attend!

With multiple stages, plenty of camping available, a coffee shop, art gallery, and plenty of events for kids, this free festival is a must visit for any Christian music lover! One of the true highlights of LifeLight is the community worship service that takes place on the Sunday morning of the festival with praise and worship, and a chance to join with other believers in unity!

The Women’s Ministry of Bride of Christ Church Ministries will host their 3^rd Annual Women’s Day Service on Sunday, August 28 at 4:00 pm.  The location is 3500 Enterprise Road, Mitchellville, MD 20721.  The theme is "A Woman of Substance Goes the Distance With God".  It’s an evening of worship and fellowship.  All are invited.  Women are asked to wear white.  For more information, contact Elder Yvonne Mayne at 845-321-0671.  Dr. Benjamin W.
