The structures and exhibits characterize the style, architecture, and settings that existed in the Holy Land 2000 years ago.

Imagine entering an exact replica of the Garden Tomb where the body of the Lord Jesus Christ was buried. In reverence, you approach the tomb where He emerged victorious over death. Then at the grand entrance to the Temple Plaza, walk under a massive archway and behold the gleaming white stone plaza surrounding you with its thirty Roman columns crowned with gold capitals. All this grandeur majestically frames the imposing Great Temple, the place held in highest reverence among the Jewish people. It is a truly breathtaking representation of the Temple that once stood on hallowed Mount Moriah in 1st century Jerusalem.

In 1947, a shepherd stumbled upon a hidden cave along the shore of the Dead Sea. Concealed inside were ancient scrolls that had not been seen for 2,000 years. After extensive excavation, a total of 972 remarkably preserved scrolls were found, including the earliest Biblical texts ever discovered. Now known as the Dead Sea Scrolls, they have been called the most significant archaeological find of the last century. 

The Franklin Institute's Dead Sea Scrolls: Life and Faith in Ancient Times exhibit presents one of the most comprehensive collections of ancient artifacts from Israel ever organized, featuring a total of twenty scrolls, displayed ten at a time, including the oldest known copies of the Hebrew Bible and four never-before-seen scrolls. With more than 600 items on display, visitors will experience firsthand the traditions, beliefs and iconic objects from everyday life, more than 2000 years ago. Life Camp's mission is to develop positive character through the arts and life-skills training.

Camp Overview

Thank you for considering Life Camp. Our camp purpose is to provide a safe atmosphere with lots of fun, activities, and learning. Our camp is registered with the State of Maryland and complies with all regulations. This year our goal is to provide your child(ren) with a summer camp full of programs, adventures, and learning experiences that will be both meaningful and memorable.

Life Camp is a summer day camp located in Prince George's County and serves children in the greater Washington, DC metropolitan area.  Life Camp offers two exciting camp options.

Life Camp 2011 June 18th through August 10th

Option 1: "The Arts Camp" offers campers exposure to the performing arts. Dancing, singing, acting, and technical theatre are a part of this Life Camp program. "The Arts Camp" offers a full range of summer camp activities, including: swimming, bowling, skating, field trips a

MERGE occurs every 1st Friday of each month.
MERGE Unplugged occurs every 2nd, 3rd & 4th Friday of each month.

MERGE is on a mission to make a change in today's youth by creating an environment where they can build relationships, tackle teen issues and have an amazing time while growing closer to God.

Young people today are faced with many serious issues:

• Teen Drug Use: According to the Office of National Drug Control Policy, 1 in 4 teens uses illegal drugs.
• Sexually Transmitted Diseases: According to the National Physicians Center, 8000 teens contract an STD everyday.
• Suicide: According to safeyouth.org more than 1500 teens commit suicide every year.
• Misconceptions about Christ: Approximately 53% of teens believe Jesus sinned.
