    The Feed Your Faith Story
    Feed Your Faith was started in 2006 by Mike Williams.  His concept was simple:  Bring in the best and brightest Christian speakers, authors and musicians to spiritually feed believers while raising money to physically feed those in need.

    To date, Feed Your Faith has worked with nationally known writers and music groups including Kirk Cameron, Warren Barfield, Lee Strobel (former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune and author of The Case for Christ), author Mark Middleberg, DecembeRadio, Decyfer Down and Sanctus Real (Dove Award winning Christian Rock and Alternative band), Needtobreathe, Sevenglory and Sarah Reeves.

    Feed Your Faith has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities throughout the Southeast United States.

    Contest Rules

    Phase 1

    Now accepting video submissions

    From October 6 - November 18, 2011 submit a video endorsed by your church’s senior pastor and include the following:

    • The name of your church
    • City and state
    • What big thing did you do for your community?
    • How did your efforts help your community?
    • Top 3 videos will be selected to enter into a final public voting round!

    Selection criteria is based on:

    • Creativity
    • Inspiration
    • Impact 
    Phase 2

    Finalists announced & public voting begins

     

    On November 29, 2011, the Top 3 Finalist videos will be announced and public voting begins until December 5, 2011

    You’ll find morning snacks, team photo zone, pictures from our participants on the jumbotron and plenty of entertainment! Stop by our Fitness Together challenge zone, health and beauty vendors, the lively kids zone and batting cages. Stay tuned for music, warm ups and inspiring stories from those living with diabetes and working hard to stop it. Once we cut the ribbon, you’ll do a lap inside the stadium and have the choice to do 2 miles looping around the outside of the stadium or a 4 mile route that also includes sites such ss Transportation Way and Yards Park.

  • Benefit Concert featuring the Harlem Quartet

    On Saturday, October 22, 2011 the Annabelle Ferguson Auditorium on the grounds of Suitland High School will be featuring the Harlem Quartet in concert to benefit the music department of the school's Visual & Performing Arts Program.  This year we have a goal of raising enough money to purchase two Steinway Boston Upright pianos, (valued at $8,000 each) for the music department.  We anticipate a wonderful evening of music as this diverse group of musicians perform a variety of selections guaranteed to inspire the general public and the performing arts students in the program.  This event is being sponsored by the Parents of Suitland HS CVPA.  You may email parents.suitlandhscvpa@gmail.com or call 240-593-6131 for further details.
