The Young Adults in Christian Ministries of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in the Washington Area are hosting a benefit concert “Hope for Haiti 2010”. This event will be free and open to the public. Monetary donations will be collected and 100% of the proceeds collected during the concert will be distributed to the following organizations: Doctors without Borders, Yele Haiti (Wyclef Jean’s charity), and the A. M. E. and C. M. E. Churches.Hope for Haiti will feature contemporary gospel recording artists– Ahnwar Yancey and Ashia Borders; gospel Hip Hop artists – The Elect, Baxter and The Apostle; The ElectroKoustic Band, The First Baptist Church of Brentwood Choir; and other special guests.
