God Belongs In My City - The Movement:
In October of 2009, a youth group passionate for God in New York City saw an Atheist Advertisement campaign in their subway system which stated, “A Million New Yorkers Are Good Without God. Are You?”. They were so stirred up by this, that they went to their Youth Pastor who then went to his network of Pastors/leaders to ask, “What are we, as the body of Christ going to do about this?”. They prayed and decided to take action and have Ministries from all around the 5 boroughs hold a prayer walk wearing a simple T-shirt which stated “God Belongs in My City”. Since that day, 8 cities have joined the movement, claiming God in their area, praying for their community, and making God's presence known.
On April 14, 2012, Fayetteville, NC is calling God's people to rise up and unify THE body of Christ and join in prayer and faith & proclaim that God truly does belong in our city!

God belongs in my city is a vision, to unite Gods people to stand together and make a statement of faith. Saturday April 14th, we will be doing a silent prayer walk throughout the City of Fayetteville. We have mapped out a strategic route so that we will be walking past the major buildings i.e. police station, courthouse, youth dentition, mayor office etc. We will end the walk at Festival Park for a community concert featuring a special gospel artist & free food!
