oster Forever Families Rally -Recognizing that November is National Adoption Month, the Foster Hope Foundation is hosting the Foster Forever Families Rally. This event will serve as Lynchburg’s campaign through the faith based community to provide foster and adoptive homes for the children who are waiting for a loving family.
Learn what scripture teaches about adoption. Hear from current foster & adoptive parents about the joys and pains of fostering & adopting and stories from people who grew up in the foster care system. Be inspired and informed about the process to become foster and/or adoptive parents. Connect with several foster care and adoption agencies that will be present and explore how to start the process of changing the future of these children.
Currently, there are over 5000 children and youth in foster care statewide with over 1300 of them eligible for adoption, including 124 in foster care and 31 eligible for adoption in Lynchburg. We hope you will attend and we are prayerful that this event will prompt believers to consider God’s call to care for the orphan, and what we can do in response.
