ABC Wellness & Fitness Center is pleased to announce its FIRST ANNUAL CANCER AWARENESS GALA being held Saturday, December 18, 2010 from 7pm – 11pm at the National Golf Club in Fort Washington, Maryland.ABC Wellness & Fitness Center is sponsoring its First Annual 2010 Cancer Awareness Gala theme “Reflections of HOPE.” Our goal is to provide the awareness of the various forms of cancer through knowledge and support.THE FACTS*The American Cancer Society estimates that in 2010 about 171,000 cancer deaths are expected to be caused by tobacco use. About 1.5 Million new cases are expected in 2010. Scientific evidence suggests that one-third of the 570,000 cancer deaths expected to occur in 2010 will be related to overweight or obesity, physical inactivity, and poor nutrition and thus could also be prevented.PURPOSE OF THE GALAWe plan to give HOPE (gifts) to those in attendance who are survivors, caretakers, and currently receiving treatment. Also, we plan to donate over proceeds to the following non-profit organizations:“The Cancer Support Foundation, Inc.” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides quality-of-life help and services to cancer survivors and their caregivers. Their mission is to ensure that everyone undergoing cancer treatment in the State of Maryland is able to maintain stability in all areas of their lives.“Zero Prostate Cancer” a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that is an advocate for prostate cancer deaths. Their name conveys what they stand for zero tolerance for prostate cancer. As ZERO - The Project to End Prostate Cancer, they have committed themselves not only to reduce prostate cancer or alleviate the pain from the disease but to end it.Tickets: $50 per personGiving HOPE• Any monetary donation and/or serviceSurvivor Due to HOPE Donation: $3,000• Ten (10) complimentary tickets• Main signage throughout entire event• Full-page ad on the front page of the program• Logo recognition on all signage• On-the-air mention on radio station• Inclusion in all press releases• Logo on our websiteStanding on HOPE Donation: $2,400• Six (6) complimentary tickets• Main signage through entire event• Full-page ad in program• Logo recognition on all signage• On-the-air mention on radio station• Inclusion in all press releases• Logo on our websiteFound HOPE Donation: $1,500• Four (4) complimentary tickets• Main signage through entire event• ½ page ad in program• Logo recognition on all signage• On-the-air mention on radio station• Inclusion in all press releases• Logo on our websiteSeeking HOPE Donation: $750• Two (2) complimentary tickets• Business card ad in program• Logo recognition on all signage• Inclusion in all press releases• Logo on our websiteWondering If There Is HOPE Donation: $300• One (1) complimentary ticket• Business card ad in program• Logo recognition on all signage• Logo on our website
